Title Go Go Squid!
Really having a hard time watching this and I find myself fast forwarding A LOT. Everything feels so boring to…
finished the entire series but I was mostly skipping scenes especially flashbacks and dialogues between team SOLO. the romance is worth watching as well as the funny scenes of team k&k.

Title Vagabond
I think we at least need a heads up that the ending will require a season 2, so that those of us who only binge…
This is why I am not thrilled with Asian dramas produced/released exclusively for Netflix. They love to split the release which is a bummer for binge-watchers.

I just finished and in a bit of hangover. I can't get enough of Jiu Chen and Ling Xi. T___TYes, Jiu Chen is aged…
Story of Ming Lan - historical but no fantasy tag. Give a try! It was a slow brew but aged like the best wine.

Whats the ending like... do they die for no reason?? Tragedy? Happy?
I LOLed at do they die for no reason? haha a typical historical C-drama ending. I haven't watched it so I am curious too.

Dang you hit the nail right on the head. The kdramas I recently finished watching are those from years ago and, man, THE FEELS (A Gentleman's Dignity, Something about 1 percent and Marriage Contract). That feeling is quite hard to come by in dramas introduced from recent years (hello 2018-2019) no matter how much I dig through it. Like you I have turned to C-dramas and even J-dramas just to find that lost mojo from my beloved kdrama

What backlash? Song Hye Kyo has gotten by relatively unscathed. I haven't heard of her losing any endorsement…
The backlash against Song Hye Kyo stemmed from those travels and promotions. Just because she was business as usual does not mean she's not hurting.

While I do not agree with Hye Sun posting private conversations and her TMI posts, she is coping in her own way. I've seen her interviews before when they were still madly in love. She is straightforward and admits she kissed him first and reveals things about their relationship which is not common with celebrities in SK. That's why I'm not very surprised with the tell-all.

We don't know the truth and I am not siding with anyone. I don't know them personally so my only wish as an avid drama fan is that they will be able to heal and move on with their lives.

I don't blame the woman though. Look at what happened with the SongSong couple. The female kept quiet so she got all the backlash while the guy continues filming his drama without issues. She was painted as the one with issues. Marriage is a two-way street. I know because I am in one.

Back to Hye Sun, she wanted to make it clear that she is all for a quiet divorce but the man refuses to comply with her only wish which is to meet with her mother first before making things public.

They are both suffering and I hope they could move forward from this eventually.

Ming Lan from The Story of Ming Lan is the winner for me in this category. She is smart. She might appear weak but deep inside the dragon is waiting. The overall drama and how it was wrapped up in the end is the reason why I will always remember this C-drama.

I have watched hundreds of Asian dramas but this is the most painful for me. I can take cheating, lying, amnesia and all the cliche every romance drama throws at me but killing the very person you love(It was a WTF moment for me???!!!!). After that episode, I was like, how do they go from here? Of course, every episode after that is like an arrow piercing my heart. It goes deeper and deeper and deeper with no relief in sight. Even their marriage at the end could not erase the pain. As if I wasn't tormented enough, she had to die and he had to travel the whole world to find her. On top of it all, I was mourning for Night Immortal. I love, love, love him. He was a victim and he made some very bad choices. She could have saved him from that cruel fate but alas, fate is such a player. Whilst it was a wonderful story, I don't think I will be able to re-watch it again. Clips of their romantic moments from YouTube is enough for me, for now.

Title The Story of Ming Lan Spoiler
Can someone please explain what happened to the 4th sister at the end? I saw she gave a lot of currency to someone,…
As far as I can remember, it was a bribe because she wanted to know what is going on with her family. This is during the poisoning of Minglan's grandma. I like the ending though because she patched things up with Minglan.

Title Marriage Contract Spoiler
I love every bit of this drama . The ML was not like the usual gullible type who believes whatever the FL says so their romance fall apart. Really, really love the last few episodes. While others might think it was sad, I was grinning the whole time despite my heart aching. ML basically don't give a damn whatever his rich father says. He loves her and he chooses her.

Dropped it at episode 25. The main leads were not even shown since ep 24. Aside from the main leads, three concubines and the 3 BFFs of the ML, I don't like any other character to keep me going. Love the romance. How I wish the writers established the romance of the leads first before adding conflicts. Now moving on to another wuxia that won't disappoint.
