Person Hou Ming Hao
Seriously I had no idea who he was before watching WWWY. A couple episodes in I was thinking how he looks so much like the lovechild of Baekhyun and Luhan and came to comment here. Imagine my surprise discovering he was an SM trainee lol.

Can I just add how poor this amnesia arc is compared to TMOPB. I understand if she forgets Chengyin but how in the world could she forget her shifu who has been her companions for many years.

I like the FL better in the first 10 episodes. She was high-spirited, loyal and relatable. In the palace she's turn into some vulgar princess . I know the writer must have felt it was needed to highlight the difference between the strict etiquette of the imperial court and her carefree upbringing but I really did not expect her character to into this annoying rude simpleton. I am now a few episodes in the palace arc and I am not liking her personality.

This is not the first time YZ wrote his female leads ruling the palace when they are only maids. It have improved…
It's good that you at least acknowledge the series has inherent problems in plot development and characterization. I understand where the sarcastic remark came from. It must be so frustrating to begrudgingly admit I am correct in my assessment.

The main actress was pretty terrible in my opinion. The thing I really disliked about the show was how few concubines…
My greatest gripe with this series is it lack the feel of a historical drama.

This show is a good reminder to never watch a show by this production/producer ever again. Why I bothered to actually watch this after seeing how terrible Palace was I'll attribute to the hype this show was getting during its run. Just overall a poor show in terms of production, plot and acting. It's like a campy modern day Cinderella story with the actors wearing 18th century Manchu costumes with a spunky and over the top female lead. Yup that's what I felt watching this show.

? Wuw There isnt good reviews here. And rating is so low for your info. The revieweres are very accurate and honest…
Exactly good and interesting drama up until the middle part. The ending I'd attribute to the writer possibly writing it while drunk.

Sadly just couldn't get past how everybody are just pawns for the two star-crossed lovers happily ever after. Not even their own people are safe from their plans.

I wish I had faith that the female lead would be strong and interesting, but seeing as she's a maidservant there…
I know there are people out there who demand to see Wonderwoman play every female lead character but they seem to forget writers still need to write works rooted in reality than having to cater to the capriciousness of some people. I was actually interested in this because I like the FL's acting and portrayal in Bloody Romance. That series was a proper underdog story where the lead had to sacrifice everything just to survive in the end. None of that "I can save the whole world" BS.

is Zhang Qing just another name for the main lead, binbin?
It was a practice in ancient China and even until recently that men when they reached 20 are given courtesy names which other adults of their generation use when addressing them formally. Elders's though could still call a man by his birth name. I learned this watching Secrets of the Three Kingdoms and I was confused why Cao Cao was also called Mingde by some people.
On The Crowned Clown Jan 17, 2019
I'm loving this drama. Hopefully they can keep this up to the end. The acting is superb and the pacing is on point. Yeo Jin Goo's clown character is innocent and compassionate and at the same time has a very brave persona that you really want to get behind him. Hopefully he doesn't become a power hungry usurper later on. I'd be sad if that happens. If it finishes like the film did then I'd be satisfied but I feel like the real king should never have his throne back.

Dropped at episode 2*. The writer just lost any semblance of sense and realism. I know some people like the FL's spunky demeanor but the writer should at least keep her ridiculous behavior to the minimum and keep it within bounds of what could be considered acceptable. They could have made the protagonist more subtle with her actions but no they just had to let a maid running wild around the Imperial palace like she owns the place.

Yaya and Mark have one of the best ever chemistry in dramaland. It's a shame the show doesn't show more of their sweet moments together. The sexual tension and angst were great and all but I feel they could have tone down that part a bit and allowed the two to have more intimate scenes.

At first I was disappointed that Arthur Chen would not act in season 2 of this drama. Now, I think maybe it's…
Yes a more convincing Ning Que and this might sound harsh but a more sophisticated, mature and beautiful Sang Sang.

Great story and cinematography however the ML is a terrible actor and the FL looks like a pre-pubescent girl. Just could not get past those 2 facts.

Can you give the names of some teenage Chinese actors who can play better than Arthur here? Honestly, I see none.…
You must have really low standards of acting that you can consider Arthur Chen's one note wooden acting above average. He literally has the same bored expression every scene. It was a miracle I managed to finish 22 episodes. He actually makes Tiffany Tang a nuanced actress in comparison. And no there are certainly a lot of actors his age that can actually act like Leo Wu and Liu Haoran.

Title Still 17
I should have dropped this earlier. I can't believe I managed to watch 13 whole episodes of this naive drama. They wasted at least 10 episodes going in circles with no plot development except the leads feelings for each other. I swear they had at least 100 cliifhangers that ended up nowhere. Talk about overused plot device. They had a character ask another something that would reveal more of the plot and then said character would stop in his/her track because they thought of something else or they think the question was not all that important. REALLY!!! Don't even tell me about all those unfortunate missed encounters.
