gender bender boring ass drama

This drama is horrible! I can;t believe someone would rate this a 10.

1) lack of story development. There really wasnt miuch story development besides the fact that she is a female that goes into an all made school. There are some slightly interesting parts like when they had the archery competition.
2) If you want to know what the drama is about literally read the summary , its the whole movie
3) How can it take 31 episodes to freaking realize she is a girl ? come on male lead. Even the side characters knew like 4-5 ep before him..
4) Song Wei long is handsome , but his character, like other reviewer said is super bland. He's like the goody two shoes , he doesnt particularly stand out ( because there are two other males)
5) However I like their friendship that they form. Its just like f4. They are doing things together.
6)Female lead is super cute. But i'm like how do they not think she's a girl. She's so pretty and feminine.... lol the guys at the school must be blind >_<
6) the overall setting isnt interesting , there isnt a complicated background of the male or female lead. it just kinda bland. There is storyline but its behind the second and third male lead, about them trying to figure out what happen. to their families.

honesty really wanted to like this, but I couldn't stand it. I wouldnt not recommend. skip please !

NOT AS GOOD AS YOU THINK IT IS

AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT THINKS THIS DRAMA IS OVERRATED? i was really excited to see the chinese version but this drama is just so boring.
1) The leads romantic development is soooooo slow , they got a kiss around the ep 12-13? bear in mind this drama only has 24 ep.
2) the leads have zero chemistry like zero. It took so long for the emperor to realized the female lead is a woman lol
3) The female lead doesnt show too much emotions( the emperor displays more emotions than the female lead)
4) the plot isnt plotting lol... just kinda flat... its pretty cliche that the female lead uses her knowledge to make modern day products in ancient times...
5) unnecessary characters added around ep 14... like she is trying to find her way home and ends up in another city...

female lead is unlike other girls but nothing special

To me this drama is a flop ! this drama is soooo boring.... the plot is boring... like literally the first 20ish episode is about the failed arranged marriage of the princess aka female lead. She is a princess through her grandmother being the aunt of the king....

Her personality is loud , proud, bold and daring. The male lead is a official of the king, he seeks revenge to find out what happen to his parents death. Turns out its about a hu fu ( which is this panther looking thing that holds military power) I believe the king's aunt husband was the general who held the hu fu. The female lead also gets dreams thats gets her glimpse of seeing into the future. ( but to me those scenes arent done well, its so random and choppy)

Who said its good, i skipped so many conversations lol.... the relationship between the female and male lead is not very believable. The chemistry is not there. Neo Hou has more chemistry with Yang Chao Yue on the love script variety show, then with Guan Xiao tong. They are quite a boring couple. I mean I like the male lead but I am contemplating dropping this drama.

I will be your light!

This drama is seriously so good! It deserves a ten! Can we start off with the ending song, which was sung by Angela Hui. This song is so touching and beautifully sang and fit in really well with the touching parts of this drama.

I initially was going to skip this drama, not the biggest fan of William Chan, but decided to give it a chance anyways! This drama is such a gem.

All of the characters are like-able and the firefighting scenes are done superbly, making you feel all the emotions, nervous , anticipation, excitement.

Female lead is a reporter/dog trainer - I loved the female lead. She is a bad ass, dont give a shit about the consequences , I'm going to report the truth no matter what kind of girl. I loved her persistent attitude to pursue the male lead. Their encounters are cute

Male lead is a lead firefighter. I love that he is so passionate about his job, so serious, yet facing the female lead he becomes nervous and cute. He really is a good leader and great firefighter!

The firemen on the team is loveable too. I can feel the closeness of the brothers.

The second male and female lead had a good storyline and also glad that the third couple was together.

Those firefighting scenes were crazy! It really takes you inside and shows what they are facing while fighting fires. All of the firefighting scenes were top notched, you could feel the intensity.

I also like the storyline, not just romance not just firefighter, but also about support and dealing with people passing and their mental health. The female lead overcame obstacles in her path and also the male lead too! as well as others in the drama.

However there was some parts that i could predict... like towards the end that incident ( wont spoil what happen)

Their chemistry was definitely there but their kisses still was a little lacking. A lot of it was a peck on the lips nothing to intense.

The romance / relationship between adoptive brother and sister

One review talked about the negative side of this drama, like bullying , incest .

The female and male lead are quote on quote brother and sister but have no blood relationship. They grew up together, qing mei zhu ma. So many dramas have the male and female lead growing up together. The devil beside you with rainie yang and mike he, they were also brother and sister through their parents new marriage... anyways on to the review

Storyline- Female lead Zhuo Yi feng was young, she and her parents got into a car accident, leaving her parents dead and her being the only survivor, thus causing her having PTSD , and also sleeping walking. The male lead Su Mu Yun's family adopts her and changes her name to Su Nian Feng, to help her get past her horrific past. Su nian feng (FL) grews up with her brother and goes to the same school as him.
Male lead- is popularity in school because , he's in the basketball team. He is icy, cold male.
Female lead- is a lovable , kind and good at cooking, also she is easily bullied
Together they go through the last year of high school and then they go to college together. She meets one of her friends in high school, he has a sickness which causes female lead to study medicine in school.

Romance- some parts were cute. They have more kissing scenes towards the end. I don't really feel the chemistry as much.

Plot holes- There are way too many plot holes..
1) Sleep walking.... The sleeping walking part was just kinda weird, like her brother was always there to protect her and guide her back. But the times when she didn't live with the brother , she didnt have any sleep walking episodes?
2) Why would she listen the evil beep's mp3 randomly, and that would have the evidence of her parents death ?
3) She changed her profession so easily ? from being a doctor to a baker?

Evil characters
I can't stand lu cha biao !!! The evil girl is so annoying . She won't stop. Typically I dont like dramas with evil girl , trying to harm or bully the female lead. If its too much then i would rate it lower. The evil girl just had a obsession over the male lead and wanted to do everything to interfere between the male and female lead's relationship. I woulda slapped that evil girl, doing too much !

The male lead I feel like is a little to posessive over the "sister". Sometimes he can be very immature about his feelings and actions towards the female lead. Like when the female lead gets a present from another guy, the male lead would just throw whatever he prepared away for the female lead. The female lead doesnt throw it away, she would keep that item. I'm not a fan of the actor for the male lead, his eyes kinda always looks tired and droopy.

Overall , this drama was ok to watch., not bad.

Disappointing drama with could of have more potential

Don't get fooled by this drama! This drama's genre is the school type but it isnt the super sweet drama. Despite having 24 episodes, I can't even get pass ep 19! I have no more interest to watch.

This drama storyline sounded really good but when I actually watched it, such a let down. First of all inconsistent storylines, female and male lead arent expressive/hate each other, annoying bitch side character, and there isnt a point of focus/interest.

This drams starts off really well, the female lead is in a party in which they are playing truth or dare. It's the male lead's turn and he somehow has to kiss an opposite gender for three second. Of course that girl is the female lead. The female lead and male lead are actually classmates from high school. The funny thing is that he doesnt remember her at all, and so when they were kissing she accidentally gets hot oil on his shirt. She is a broke college students and tries to think of a way to dry clean his shirt for free. She tries to go to her science lab and tries to create chemicals to dry clean but then an explosion happens. At that time the male lead is around the area and rescues hers. The professor undeniably thinks she is the culprit, that the female and male lead were actually trying to have a date when they caused the explosion....
She basically gets entangled with the male lead and they are off to a really foot! I would say that they hate each other literally! She really doesnt want to get expelled from the school and decides to drag down the male lead with her, since the male lead acts so cold !

The male lead somehow loses memory of her, when they were in high school! it was due to some accident. Obviously this part of the drama wasnt the focus... It was just kinda loosely placed in random epsiodes, never really developing what happened. I mean supposedly the lost memory was that he liked her.
It tells the story of the female lead's recount between the two. In her eyes he is just evil, mean, bully and manipulative.

The male lead is like a bitter melon. ( a simile his professor calls him) He has good intentions but doesnt tell her. Lol a bittermelon looks ugly/ and rough on the outside but its good for your body.. The male lead was held too much emotion in, it might of been due to his childhood experience growing up. He bottled everything inside and when he does good for the female lead, she always receives the message wrongly.

Also unnecessary kinda of love triangle/crush on her classmate... He gave her mixed signals and then tells her , he is leaving to go study abroad... She gets over him very fast...... arghhh after that another guy comes in.... this guy doesnt have good intentions and just wants to make the male lead jealous!!!

Finally when they are together, i didnt really believe it lol !!! To me they dont have chemistry., or the passion. The second leads were a better couple!

pretty disappointed by this drama.

Had higher expectations for this drama. Really wanted to like it but i felt it was just kind of average for me. To start off there has been many dramas revolving around the fashion industry. This was kind of typical.... like the rookie designer vs famous designer. Female lead is an unlucky girl who loves the fashion industry, she strives to be a fashion designer but always runs into problems. Male lead is a cold, sharp tongue and experienced designer. They accidentally kissed when resulted in the switching of luck.

I love Jerry Yan, even tho he's like in his 40s. He is still hella hot. I love his acting in this drama. His facial expressions/ micro facial expressions are so cute. Female Lead - shen yue also does a good job, she is very cute and lovable. I find the paring extremely cute.

There isnt a whole lot of romancy scenes. So far been one peck on the lips and couple on the forehead. I might be old school but i was waiting for this whole time to confirm their relationship...its like 20 something ep in and still no confirmation or like further romantic plot development. I mean even male's lead best friend beat him to it.

The story to me was kinda slow and honestly nothing to exciting. Like they just show the female lead working and sometimes designing but its mot interesting enough. And why is it that when the male lead and female lead are in the same profession, she usually works in a another company , and not the male lead? in the story, the male lead has a tragic accident when he was young, which caused him having a cold personality. The development of that could of been smoother.

The music in this drama was especially good :)

Messy story of a girl who transports back into time to save people from war?

First of all I really like the leads but this drama was a no bueno for me! too many plotholes and question marks.... this drama incorporates time traveling and some what deity/ powers?

Story summary : Too Confusing, left me with a lot of question marks...

Female lead is from the future and she time travels back to 8 years ago to try to stop the war and destruction. She goes back and tries to kill Lu Ming Yuan , who 's the evil character and an official of the king. The interesting part is that the female lead cannot died. She had a body that doesnt get hurt, when she goes into water her scars and wounds heal. The first scene she is seen getting out of water and she doesnt remember who she is. Coincidentally the male lead is taking a bath there but its actually something that he has set up. This is because there are people who want to kill him. This is the first encounter between the leads. She warns him about his brother not related by blood will die soon by Lu Ming Yuan. Of course he doesnt believe her and "kills" her ( after that she finds out about how she can heal herself) Through a series of encounters she works under the male lead who is like a official of some sort. The male lead's background is also complicated and he seems like he is a bad guy but that's his disguise. He's trying to take down all the back people. But due to his " bad boy nature" the female lead has a hard time trusting in him, not knowing if he is good or bad ( in the sense he is on Lu Ming Yuan's side or not) I forgot to add that the female lead has a flute, that flute only she and the male lead can hear. The flute also helped her to time travel. When someone dies/she cries it takes her back. She goes back like three times, but each time the flute will have this blood mark, and she will also become weaker each time.

So usually when its a take two, it brings a refresher for the storyline but in this case it failed! not long after she transported back to 8 years ago a second time the male lead suddenly loses his memory and it is really not explained well, i mean it would make more sense if some poisoned him ? He only forgets the memories of the female lead and him. Then after that the storyline progress weirdly, and becomes a train-wreck...

I would have given it a 5.5 but bumped it up to a six for the romance. To be honest tho I wasnt feeling the chemistry between the leads. I mean there was a little something but not enough... ( just in my opinion) I think I liked the second pairing's relationship more, it was more chemistry and passion there. Dont get me wrong I love the two leads but something was just lacking.

I didnt like the fact that the male lead always used the female lead.I mean if you love her you should tell her what your plans are and not for her to be the last one to know. She always ends up misinterpreting him on what he does, thinking he is evil.

I 'm disappointed by this drama., hopefully sun yi's other drama is better.

DISAPPOINTING DRAMA!!

This drama had so much potential but it fell so short.
Backstory- the male lead Hu yi Tian is a famous actor back in the day. He is filming a movie when he gets shot by a real gun. This transports him to the modern times. In the modern times there is also the same male lead but with a different name. Older day male lead's soul goes into the modern day. He gets adjusted to the new world and at the same time try to figure out what happens.

Romance: no chemistry at all, really stiff. I dont find the connection. Maybe because Hu Yi tian has such a stiff face? The leads interaction has no fluff at.

Story line development is horrible, they are never offically together! and at ep 22 they still are barely uncovering the mastermind/evil characters background/identity. The development is wayy toooo slow.

Sighs... had the potential to do so much more.....The female lead's character is honestly kinda boring. She is a scriptwriter, who is kinda of a nobody. She is kinda childish and naive. She doesnt have any wow factor

Script writer meets game designer

I didn't have much expectation going in...Honestly the first couple of ep wasnt so bad but it got worst as it went on. The thing I really liked was the songs!

To be the story seems kinda stretched... like female lead is a script writer. Male lead is a game designer. They use to be each other's first love. For some reason they broke up and years later the male lead wants to design a game about skiing. He ask the female lead to cast the story.

First of all the leads have little to none chemistry. Their relationship isn't believable. Also their relationship isnt smooth. Seems to be that the male lead cares more about his own start up company and is kinda stiff in the head when it comes to relationships.

The story's focus isnt on them but on the male lead's company . They introduce the third female lead who is in love with the male lead. Then there is the second female lead who is aka female lead's best friend. The second female lead's character is a celebrity and kinda annoying. She does nothing to add to make the story better. Back to the third female... She is part of the male lead's company and does things to mess with the leads relationship. ( she is jealous of their relationship)

For the leads they are always bickering and getting into fights, seemingly that they dont truly understand each other. I mean i understand each has their own stand point.

In the end, i dont think it worth watching...

cat turns into a human to find true love?

I'm going to be quite honest, trying to make a modern day story about someone who is originally a cat turned into a human, successful is pretty hard. This drama's story in my opinion didnt work at all or to its advantage. It didnt flow well or really made any sense( but i mean a cat turned human doesnt make any sense) A lot of the story or background could of been done better to incorporate( I mean unless this drama was from a novel.... then they cant really change much)

Female lead is actually a cat, who is from Meow Star. She came to earth to find the person that saved her when she was a kitty. She thinks that the fastest way for her to find him is that she becomes a famous idol/star. She encounters the male lead, who loves cats and own a cat coffee shop. They start off on a bad foot... Through series of encounter the male lead starts liking the female lead. When the female lead runs into trouble the male lead is there to help her. The female lead needs to be careful, when she drinks peppermint she will start to turn back into a cat.

Here is where i think the story gets stretched... There is a cop from the Meow planet, they call them black cop. Their job is to catch the cats back to the meow star. So the cops have an order to catch Song zi ( female lead) back. Basically how that is happening is that she gets into a lot of gossip/bad headlines and doesnt have any jobs. The cops are not very successful in catching her. Its like a drag of episodes... Also many episodes revolves around the female lead not having a job and just being aimless. honestly the story line doesnt have much to do with meow planet. The male lead doesnt even know she is a cat...

The male lead's healthy suddenly deteriorates because of his accident when he was young. One minutes he's in the hospital the next he is out " saving" her/ being their for her... doesnt really make sense..

To me its like this drama has the titles of cats/about cats coming from another planet to find love, so they can become human , but in actuality the content is empty, its barely about that...

Redeeming factor is cute kid!!!

First of all I must say that the male lead is HOT! He is the general from maid revenge. SIGH... yet again he is in a low budget , short drama! CAN WE PLEASE GIVE HIM MORE SCREEN TIME AS A FULL DRAMA MALE LEAD...

This is a mini drama about the male and female lead trying to fight for the custody of the child. This child is the male lead's brother and female lead's sister, which the child parent died. The male lead is a ceo and buys the martial art house/academy so he becomes the landlord. He has a bickering relationship with the female lead. Although she teaches little kids martial arts, she never really shows it off. The female lead character is a little plain jane, not very pretty and nothing too outstanding about her character ( maybe because its a mini drama)

The storyline isnt very well developed and is kinda jumpy. Turns out the grandpa ( which is the male lead's dad) also is fighting ( but behind the scenes) trying to get the custody of the child, because he can get 20% stock in the company? I guess the company stock was from the elder son (aka the older brother)

Hardly any kissing scenes, like one in the end... Chemistry is so so, not really feeling it. Just when they are together, the grandpa tries to do something that messes their relationship up and the male lead doesnt explain why / what he is doing to the female lead....

Started off well but afterwards annoying sister ruined it all

The first 15 episodes was good! I actually really liked the beginning of the story and thought it was different, however continue watching was such a let down!

Female lead Xian Qian is a bargainer, who helps people get things they like for a lot cheaper of a price, for example trying to bargain hunt for a place of wedding... Two years ago her boyfriend ran out on their engagement party, which was held Chang Sheng hotel. The male lead is Chang Sheng's ceo. He witnessed the breakup of the couple and accused her of pressing the fire alarm.
Xian Qian and Sheng Zhe Ming meet through, Xia Qian organizing Zhe Ming sister's wedding. It also turns out Xia Qian 's ex is with Zhe Ming's sister. Before she knew this she tried all her best to get a booking the Chang Sheng hotel. She even tries to go uncover to steal the list of people who supposely has a wedding on that day to see if they could change times.

The leads meet and slowly but surely the male lead falls for female lead. I love the female lead's character, she's smart, sensible, and down to earth. I also like their bickering. I think it was cute when they finally got together.

But knowing it was 40 episodes, there was bound to be some drama. First of all didnt really care for Wu QiLong to be the second? lead. He falls in love with Xia Qian's coworker. Their storyline is pretty much skip worthy! The other storyline is the ex fiancee and the lead's sister. Except the lead's sister is a bitch ! and super annoying. She's always jealous of the female lead, shes always trying to do things to hinder her brother and female lead's relationship.

As for story development wise it becomes weak.. and pretty boring. I would of love to see more cases that she worked on to bargain or something along the lines. There wasnt much plot development.

Cute "cliche" contract romance ..... fell short

This drama had some potential but it ended up falling short! I think because the main genre has been done so many times, a contracted marriage/relationship between a star and a normal person. It doesnt bring much excitement. I mean what is new about this is the female lead has ALS

I actually quite like the female lead's personality, cute, sweet, bubbly despite knowing she will eventually one day die of ALS. She remains very optimistic and friendly.

I dont like the female star , who was the male lead's ex gf, and the male lead's ex band mate ( who happens to also like the female lead) They are kinda annoying...

As for the storyline its pretty cliche. They get together to cover up a scandal, they have to act very lovey dovey and eventually fall in love, but the female lead doesnt want to ruin the life of the male lead with her sickness.

Cute moments when they are trying to film their mv, but after that it lost interest for me..so i end up dropping..

A competition of the strongest academy in which the students has a spirit powers

This drama gave me a Harry potter vibes, minus the spells but very fantasy and power like. Each person has a spirit power in one hand and in the other hand it tells you how strong you are. If you have full strength you are considered a prodigy in your spiritual power.

Our male lead does not know his mom because she died while he was still a baby. His dad made his memorize a special manuscript from when he was young. Male lead's spirit power is a vine. His vine is the weakest of all things that can help him to fight. Like there are people's spirit power who is an animals which are the stronger. Some people are gifted of having two spirit power which he has, one hand is the vine and the other is a metal hammer. His dad tells him to not use the hammer and only use it to protect the vine.

The male lead basically tries to get into an academy to help become a spiritual master, which helps him understand his spiritual powers and increase them. To increase them he must kill a spiritual beast and absorb the beast's level of power/years. When you absorb the beast/creature's power you get their special ability. Which each ring you become stronger. There are some people who have 8 and higher number of rings and they are the duoluo ( i would translate it was the top of the top spiritual master battlers). He initially joins On Nuo academy but then eventually joins Shrek Seven academy where he meets his team mates and battle together. They also grow together in their leveling up ring conquest. They have to win in the spiritual battle to see who is the mastermind behind it all. There is some who is trying to control the people with the spiritual powers. Some have their powers change/configure... The male lead wonders who is behind it all and at the same time wants to find the whereabouts of his dad.

This drama is no romance what so ever..... lol up until the very last ep...

The female lead's spirit power is a rabbit, hence she is very fast. She enters the academy because she wants to find out if there is another way of becoming stronger without having to kill the spiritual creature/beast. She also has another identity, she isnt actually human, but a spiritual beast who has been practicing a million of years, which makes her able to turn into human form.

Slightly disappointed that they didnt develop/ uncover her storyline well enough. It would of been nice to see the leads have a romantic relationship. I believe there should be a second season. It ended pretty abruptly...
