This is the kind of show that makes you immediately want to go back and rewatch it for all of the really obvious stuff that you missed because the director did such a good job of misdirecting you. A goddamn magician working on screen.
the more i think about this drama, the more clever i realise it was. the director literally told us over and over in the mini mysteries that not everything is as it seems. that we need to look at every situation from multiple angles. they were all foreshadowing!!! literally spoonfed me the answers and still i did not see the real issue at hand. just like the psychologists, i was so fixated on schizophrenia that i never considered anything else. and thats the exact point. not only did we as the audience get the answers handed to us without ever seeing, the psychologists and li jia did too. the signs were all there but because we were so fixated on his family history none of us saw the real problem.
This whole drama seems like a statement on psychology and misdiagnoses which is why i looove the ending. The mix of both psychologists with tunnel vision for the diagnosis of either 'schizophrenia' or 'no schizophrenia' is what made both of them miss the real issue and eventually even the psychologist that just wanted to help was a big part of the reason Li Jia succumbed to his illness. Makes me wonder if he would have been ok if he hadn't reached out for help in the first place and just yolo'ed it. My heart hurts after watching this. But in a good way.
I can’t differentiate between Near and Jeno, I’m confused !!! Are they related or something?
The way i differentiate is that Jeno has brown lips and Near doesn't. i too got hella confused and thought they were the same person until they had different names lmao
ive literally rewatched the scene where Gao Shide says 'hi' and then breaks down in Shuyi's hallway like 6 times. The acting is just brilliant. I truly believe that man is broken
yo, does anyone else wish this entire drama was based around jukyung and juyoungs relationship? their dynamic gives me life. On that note, does any one know any other dramas that have a dynamic between characters like that?
Considering if i should rewatch this. The last time i watched it i literally went into a depressive state for like 3 months. But god its such a good drama and hopefully i've moved on from the sh*t that triggered me the first time. but do i want to risk testing that...?
As a songwriter myself, this is literally the perfect love story and im really bummed they didnt give the plot the time it needed to develop. This would make an amazing full length drama.
So this entire season, for sure, is a set up for the second season. The 'possible' covid case in chens neighbourhood. He then goes and kisses a guy whos been shown in multiple scenes to be using an inhaler? The question isnt if key gets infected, its will he survive? Next seasons gonna be a hell of a ride
i really wish theyd release a version of wish for you thats arranged the way sang yi was playing in his room. piano, guitar and the beautiful harmony upfront is just lovely
