You seem so paranoid that you're even accusing me of hating this series for reasons other than AI. Haha .. Okay. You seem to know me better than I know myself just by reading two or three comments. It's nice that you're so protective of this series. This is my last reply because I honestly have no words for you anymore.

I suck at English, and I can't put my thoughts into words any better than this. But here's my last word: I watch almost every BL series I've watched or am watching based on BL genre standards because they tend to lack in almost every artistic aspect. And I don't mean all BLs. Even when a BL is artistic enough, the acting often falls short due to limited resources.

So if you want me to judge this one by the usual film industry standards, there would be a hell of a lot of things to point out. But for this specific BL genre, I'm not going to judge it that way because I appreciate their effort. And I'm not saying I'm an expert in the film industry or anything, but I still know enough. A bad result doesn't necessarily mean they didn't try or put in any effort.

So trust me when I say I watch every BL series with a very optimistic mindset. I watch BL series for fun. I can accept even a bad one if it works well enough for me and doesn't include AI at all.

So if you think I have some other problem with this series, that's your problem with me, not mine. That's all. I really don't know what else to say anymore.

Hey man, you can go ahead and read my comment again. I only said "for me personally" and "I feel like." I clearly didn't offend anyone, and I even said that the acting is great. You're the one getting furious here.

There's no point in fighting against AI these days. No matter what I say, they're going to keep using AI anyway. That's exactly why I hate AI.

And I want to know who the hell would think the choreography of fight scenes could also be AI-generated? If (I said "IF," read carefully) they wanted to use AI even for the fight scenes, there would be no point in directing the series at all.

You said there is "almost no CGI." Well, in the first four episodes, the blood splashing every time an actor kills a zombie, most of the drone shots, and the zombie transformation scene are all CGI. Well, if they're not AI-generated like you said, then I'd say the CGI is pretty bad. That's all. I didn't say anything about the directing, acting, or story AT ALL. Just read my comment again.

Finally, if someone truly values their work, they wouldn't bother using AI at all. That's what I personally believe. And there's also no point in getting furious at me. I didn't offend anyone in my comment, especially not the actors or the on-set production. Do you even know the difference between post-production and on-set production?

The story and the effort the actors put into it made the series enjoyable. If you like it, then keep watching it. It's just that, for me, if I see even one AI-generated scene in a film or series, I lose interest and can't enjoy it anymore.

So don't come at me like I'm trying to fight with you. I'm not fighting anyone. I was simply expressing my thoughts. If my comment made you uncomfortable, you could have just skipped it. I didn't say anything that went too far. I'm also still watching it so far and haven't dropped it yet because it is still watchable because of the story and the actors. I didn't even give lower rating just only because I hate AI. I only said what I saw and felt.

I didn't mention "location" in my earlier comment. I can tell the difference between AI and non-AI. But for the record, I just started watching this series, and I'm currently on Episode 4, so I don't know what happens in the later episodes. If the story focuses more on the characters in the later episodes, it will definitely feel more natural.

Even though the locations are real, everything else that requires special effects seems to be AI-generated. I suppose they didn't have a proper CGI team. For example, the zombie transformation scene in Episode 1, almost every drone shot, and the twilight scenes when the two actors were sitting by the shore. Even the English soundtrack sounds unnatural. I haven't heard the Chinese soundtrack, so I can't comment on it or judge something I haven't heard.

So basically, around 80% of the post-production feels very AI-ish so far, based only on what I've seen up to Episode 4. And I'm talking specifically about the post-production here, not the on-set production or production design. It's not just the opening credits. I'm not very good at English, so it's hard for me to point things out using the proper technical terms.

If you're okay with AI, you can go ahead and watch it. I'm not complaining. And I never said this series was bad or unenjoyable. I simply said I hate AI because there are so many AI scenes in the episodes I've watched so far.

Story is acceptable. The acting is great but too much AI. I even doubt the soundtracks. It sounds so AI. I'm not trying to be a jerk when the rating is 8.5 but I hate AI.
Personally, I feel like casually using AI in any art is kind of taking a shortcut, and it makes me feel like the creators don't really value what they're making. It also makes the series feel less valuable and like they didn't put much effort into it, at least to me personally. Even if they have to use AI because they don't have enough production budget or resources, I still think they should put as much effort as possible into the areas where they can. But in this case, the production quality is already pretty lacking, and around 80% of it seems to be AI-generated. At this point, it even makes me wonder if they had AI write the story too. 😭 TOO MUCH AI.

Yes that was my opinion and I'm also allowed to express that opinion. You can love the show and it's cute. But if you see this is a solid show , your taste in film must be questioned. I'm also watching this because it's fun enough but it's the fact that it falls short in most aspects. Clearly you don't even care about execution or plotting.

It has a solid premise, so I wouldn't call it a bad script, but the execution falls short. The young actors are doing well for their age, but being so young and inexperienced, they often lack chemistry and emotional depth. On top of that, the amateurish editing really makes the flow, mood, and tone look cheap. With better production quality, this series would have had more potential than this. I honestly don't get how it's sitting at a rating of 8.3. Overall, it's nice but not 8.3 rating good.

I'm on Ep 3, and I feel like the second couple is nothing but just a filler and also kind of annoying. Their storyline is too simple, and there's just no soul to it. On the other hand, the main couple's story is refreshing enough to enjoy. I was thinking Mac could actually act while I was watching, only to find out that he's been in the entertainment industry since he was a kid. That's probably why he doesn't feel stiff at all. It's great to see another new couple with good chemistry, without the awkwardness.

I can't help but fast-forward every time I see the second couple (no hard feelings toward the actors, though), which leaves me with only about 30-40 mins to watch for each episode. What a shame. :'(

This one is such a waste being just a short vertical drama. It has so much potential. The story is fun, and the chemistry is actually pretty great. Some of the plot points and acting feel a bit cringe, but it works for what it is. It could honestly become such a nice series with more budget, more effort put into the production, and maybe a bit stronger acting, but they just chose to make it a SHORT. What a waste.

Most parts of the production are pretty impressive, indeed. I'm very surprised that you said there is AI in every current BL. I'm very picky, so I rarely pay attention to details when I'm watching a series if I'm not particularly interested in it. But in this series, the AI scenes are so obvious. What can I say? We’re living in the AI era. Must accept the reality :')

Just started watching the 1st episode, and I’ve already noticed that some of the intro scenes seem to use AI. I’m not 100% sure, but they really look AI-ish. I really, really hate using AI creating Films. If they don’t know how to create or use CGI properly, I’d rather they just not include it at all and not start producing this type of story in the first place. I’m sure the story will be very promising and the acting will be great, but I just wish they hadn’t used AI. I also really hope there won’t be any AI in the later episodes. I just want to enjoy this series without any negative feelings.

Bickering is also kind of a form of romance, you know? Because it’s not just a rival sports drama. They’re eventually going to fall in love with each other. And this series has a fast-paced storyline with a light and funny tone, so it’s definitely not a slow burn. BLs with fast-paced storylines usually introduce a bit of chemistry, romantic tension, and teasing between the characters even in the earlier episodes. Otherwise, the series wouldn’t be engaging enough for viewers. That being said, there has already been some character development and hints about what’s going on between them in this series as well. But this series really lacks depth, and you’ll just have to accept that. If you didn’t see any of that, then I really can’t say anything anymore. If you like it, then keep watching it. At the end of the day, it’s entirely up to you.

I'm sorry, but the acting and editing are so mediocre and bland. The story is pretty predictable or too simple, and the chemistry isn't really there. The main couple feels very stiff, and I can't really tell what they're thinking just by watching their facial expressions. Let alone the romance and acting , the director doesn't really know how to handle the sports scenes, even though the main story revolves around sports. The only good thing about this drama is that it's a sports BL, which is pretty rare. Unfortunately, the execution of the sports aspect is so basic. But it's a cute decent series

Khun New has absolutely improved his skills in this series. You could even say it's one of the best BL series so far, not just from GMMTV but overall. It's literally also New Siwaj's best work, in my opinion. Really , really love the camera work, location scouting, cinematography, attention to detail in creating the setting, production design, and especially the editing because, for me, it plays such an important role in creating that feel-good, nostalgic atmosphere. I'm so grateful they didn't make it feel cheesy. Almond and Progress's chemistry is also among the best I've seen. Considering how young they are, I'm genuinely impressed. The story still has some flaws , but they're pretty egligible. It is absolutely perfect, at least so far. Period..!

I can easily tell that the novel is probably great just from watching the teaser and knowing a little about the story. I used to read novels as well, but these days I do not have much time to read. The main reason is that I only have my smartphone to read on, and staring at the screen often gives me migraines. Because of that, I mostly watch films and series on TV instead. Besides that, there are no BL novels that I can buy in physical form where I live.
I am also more of a film guy. I enjoy seeing how directors interpret a story and express their own perspective. That is why I said what I said. BTW Thanks a lot for recommendation too.

Not everybody can enjoy novel. That's why Live Action and Directing Movies exist. You can call it dumb but some people only want to see the authenticity in Film perspective.

I really don't want this to end up like a normal , typical BL drama because this director always tends to do it that way. It really needs some refreshing perspectives, creativity, presentation, and sincerity.
I don't mean that he isn't skillful, but I want another skillful director who can put their heart and time into it with a new and refreshing perspective. This series has the most potential among all the GMMTV 2026 lineup, at least for me.

I already explained that I misinterpreted the story and apologized in my previous comment. Let me be clear , there are many people who watch solely for the couple's interaction. It’s sad but true that the BL industry is more or less about selling chemistry. I am not interfering with anyone’s tastes. It was my mistake to include the comment about 'being satisfied by just seeing their faces' under this series, because I have long accepted that Perth is talented and Santa is definitely improving in this one. I didn't mean that sentence to apply to this series specifically ,I was speaking about the BL industry as a whole and the fans who only watch for the actors. That's all. If you're not one of those people, it's easy to just ignore it. I could have deleted the comment, but I didn't because I already accepted my mistake. Moreover, I stated that I didn't mean to offend anyone. If there weren't actually fans like the ones I described, GMMTV wouldn't have double standards between their series. You can clearly see that some series are not great in terms of technical aspects, yet they still have decent ratings. Again, I'm sorry if I offended you.

And one more thing, I always goes for English subtitles if it's available. My own language subtitles is my last choice. If I had choices , believe me , I will only watch it in Eng Sub. I avoid pirate site as much as I can to support the artists and always purchase subscription. This series is only available in YouTube (as I currently know) and it is also banned in my area. I can simply use VPN but I wasn't watching it on my phone but on TV. My TV doesn't have VPN.

I wrote those specific sentences because most GMMTV shows tend to disappoint me one way or another. Don’t get me wrong, I’m saying this with good intentions. Seeing other production companies put more and more effort into making BL series, I naturally expect more from GMMTV, especially since it’s the biggest entertainment company in Thailand. I expect more than just normal.

Every time I hear good things about a show or see high ratings, most of them still don’t click with me. They always fall short in one way or another, especially when it comes to directing and production.

To make things clear, I’m not saying this show lacks those aspects. Out of all the BL series currently airing, I chose to watch this one because I tried episode 1 and genuinely liked it. It has decent production quality, solid directing, and most importantly, the acting is on point. I’m a very picky person when it comes to BL(I know that’s just my own opinion and doesn’t really matter) I still chose this series because I liked what I saw.

That’s why, after misunderstanding where the show was going, the disappointment hit harder and I got frustrated. Even though there are countless BL series these days, only a few have actually clicked with me. So I really didn’t want this one to go wrong for me.
