Can somebody tell me why this show isn't listed on the main page at "Top Upcoming Shows" even though it should…
Honestly I have come to the conclusion that MDL is racist(this is a joke obviously). It was the same way with KinnPorsche and Only Friends. Those 2 shows were on so many watch list but i was never listed on MDL under Top Upcoming Shows.
Just like that the journey has come to an end. I remember being excited about this show ever since the trailer came out. Everyone was obsessing over Heart Killers but I knew ThamePo was going to catch my heart from the beginning and I'm glad I was right. I remember being under the comments waiting and waiting, freaking out that the writing wasn't going to be good or since LYKN are newbies the acting wasn't going to be strong. I even thought "what if their chemistry isn't as convincing as it was in the pilot trailer?" I am glad that my fears melted away the minute the first episode aired. This show, for me, is one of the rare shows that had my interest from beginning to end. The fact this project turned out so well when most of them aren't even actors tells me that other "actors" in gmm need to step up and shouldn't be using their looks to get by. Thame and Po's relationship evoked emotions that I rarely feel while watching a show. I cried, I felt butterflies during every episode, I laughed. I was introduced to Est, William and LYKN because of this show. Before the show aired, I mostly focused on William and Est but I have grown to love all of them so much. ThamePo has such a beautiful ending with many lessons and love and life and I encourage everyone to watch it. I miss them so much already.
I am already sad thinking about not seeing Thamepo and WilliamEst anymore this year. I have thought about them every day since April and I am so sad that this is coming to an end already
the ongoing bls are (in my opinion) so boring that i rather check out if anything interesting happend in the last…
how can you watch the show, see how thame appreciates Po, see how thame encourages Po, see that Po craves words of affirmation and think Po is going to get back with someone who treats him like a piece of shit?
A couple breaking up doesn't mean bad writing. Po did not intitate the break up out of nowhere. There was many contributing factors that led to the break up. But even without those factors, the show has set up their break up since ep 1. We ended ep 1 with Po questioning "Does the person who leave behind someone feel pain" Po now knows that leaving someone is not always selfish, it is a selfless act that requires a lot of strength
I would not even call this episode the ep 11 curse because it was written so beautifully, crafted so well that even though I spent 2 days crying, I understood why Thame wanted to hold on to Po but I also understood why Po let him go.
Honestly ep 11 is one of my favorite episode in the whole show largely due to the breakup scene. Thame's innocence when it came to love and life in general shine through this episode. We know Thame is clueless when it comes to relationships. But the innocence of him wanting to hold on to his first love without focusing on the outside factors is what makes him lovable to us in the first place. We loved Thame's innocence. We loved how nervous he was when he was asking his crush to watch a movie. We loved how excited he was when he jumped up from his seat because his crush came into the group home. But we see his innocence being destroyed when he realizes he can't have everything. Our heart breaks when we see him begging, fighting, pleading for Po to continue to love him only for Po to remove his hand and walk away. Obviously there are difference of opinions when watching a show and not everyone is going to agree with the same thing. But this is one of the rare times where the breakup did not appear out of nowhere. It was not random. It was angsty yet beautiful. It was 2 people having to let go because one realizes that their love isn't possible at the moment and another reluctantly letting go.
William and Est are already proving to be so immaculate that I am questioning all the other ships I liked before them. Their chemistry is soft and quiet in ThamePo but I am confident that in a different show they can be passionate and loud with their chemistry (cause ep 9 proved they know how to be passionate I'm still getting butterflies thinking about their kiss scenes). Maybe I am being dramatic but it's like they were meant to act with each other at least once. Est and William are good actors so I don't doubt that they would be able to generate chemistry with other people. In fact I want them to act with other people. But God I hope we get a show from them every year cause I can't stand to think this is the only time I get to see them.
Pemika still shipped Thame off to a place he did not want to go to and I'm supposed to be happy that she made the rest of MARS dreams come true? She doesn't even know what Thame wants.
It is heartbreaking to think that Thame is all alone in a foreign country where he knows nowhere while his members are doing seemingly fine without him and the love of his life isn't with him. But Po breaking up with Thame makes sense. Po couldn't continue the relationship knowing he was the reason Pepper and Gam broke up. He couldn't continue when the CEO gaslighted him into thinking that he was the reason MARS wasn't going to work. He saw MARS grow together. He saw them have dreams and aspirations. He saw how hard it was for them, and the obstacles they had to go through. He wasn't going to let his selfishness get in the way and ruin that. We already knew from the beginning that Po is a selfless person who would do anything for the people he loves. He left his job for 3 years because he believed it was best to work together with his partner. He broke up with Thame because he believed he was it was the noble thing to do. He is also an overthinker. He saw how hard Thame was struggling to juggle both his career and his relationship. So he thought he would help him by letting him go.
