I will say that I started watching Asian series when somebody told me to watch The Untamed and I found it so boring…
I wouldn't say TU is a boring serie, but probably might not have been a great choice to start with chinese dramas. I believe each show needs its timing and emotion..
For example one cannot watch a mystery/action series when one is feeling tired from the day and only needs a bit of peace, a cozy familiar series will do just fine. For these types of series (mystery, detective, action) having a lot to remember and understand in depth will only tire that person much more..
So every drama needs its own timing, the right moment. Don't judge it quickly :)
A bit hard for me to watch if they change the actress. I get attached to the characters and how they are portrayed…
Hm, I get it, but honestly I wouldn't mind. You see the plot is perfectly adapted to changing the main actress, it has a sense. Would you also like for the main female lead to stay to another person body, while she has her own? And I cannot compare it to Harry Potter, I mean there is a whole diff plot there.

It was very smart of you to use your friend and I really hope for you to not have any intereaction at all with your ex anymoree. On my side, I only express my opinion on what I see, I have never had a relationship at all (don't worry I will not end up a unmarried woman living with 5+ cats, I am only a little more than 20 years old xp, I have hope :D)
Second, the show, indeed it was a smart setup, and loved the way how you described the show with the SAYING "I went through hell". And yes totally agree on the reason why ML helped FL. It's very well explained.

From the beginning : - Divorce caused by cheating.. Yep, nowdays divorce rates are way more higher, and one cause is the cheating - The mistress putting the blame on the husband for the embezlement.. Not a thing in real life (I hope), but it is a hyperbolism on the mentality/reality that mistress start a relationship with a married man becauze of their wealth and in the end, they end their relationship, where mistress "wins" while the husband is the one who "loses". He loses a fiction relationship and the family, but in this series, he loses it in a harsh way, he loses both mentioned, and also he loses himself - FL wanted to live a normal life and she was struggling.. Definitely the situation every single mom faces when she is alone - Marriage company.. Well I know for a fact that there are business like that in asian countries. - ML being an asshole with girls.. HM I do not like this as a woman, buut I don't wanna judge his actions, also there are men like him in real world as well. - ML helping FL.. In my opinion I dont think he helped her because of his obssesion and absolute love he had. Naah, he loved her in a simple and mannered way. He helped mostly because he sympathized with her and couldn't see her suffer any longer.

I want to note that this drama is more close to reality. Not like 100% but close...
I cannot say that this is an super amazing drama. This is relative. In my opinion this is a drama worth to watch.

I am currently watching the show (I kinda marathoned till 14 ep). I wanted to say that I completely agree with how you started the review. I have seen Misty and yes I loved the way the writer developed the characters, in Misty in every moment I was curios to know and to see every dialog, whileee in this drama as you mentioned ML and FL never had proper conversionation. Well at some point I understand that the writers wanted to illustrate the FL as a strong female but at the same time as a person not mentally stable or obsessed with revenge in extreme level, but I wished they had given more details/ description and handle the relationship between both leads in a more expressive ways, I mean not only s*x lol. Writer be like: leads be angry with each other, one lead hurts himself, the other goes for help and comfort, 10 sec later ~ s*x.
In my opionion both leads were amazing. FL is amazing at expressing her emotions and ML is awesome as well, playing the character he had, being strong and also how manly he gets emotional, I loved that.
But overall I wouldn't give it a 10 to this show. Same as you: I would give a 10 to the acting, but not the story.

But in my view, I expected it to be this way. Because Se Hun said and I quote: "this might the only and last chance to go to paradise". And in my opinion why not try this chance and understand why she doesn't like him or maybe just spent that time together to make her fall for him🙃 To me its clearly he really likes her, and so far he didn't make her feel uncomfortable, he left each time they were alone.
Remember, this is only a show, I am pretty sure every participant is aware of the unexpected situations. Just trying to see this in a positive point of view and not starting to hate people for this. Lets see how this will go😇..
