Tbh, props to the director for giving Zhi Xiao and Gu Wei so many kiss scenes but I am still not satisfied with their kisses. Maybe I watch too many Korean dramas but C-drama has also stepped a notch on their kiss scenes but ZHAO ZHAN AND YANG ZI's lips are barely MOVING T_T. I've watched Yang Zi's dramas and her kisses are pretty bad. Back then, it was understandable since it's an ancient drama (Ashes of Love) and she has a bf at the time, but now, her kiss scenes are still the same. Honestly, it's not fat shaming if you differentiate the culture differences. Asian countries BMI has always been on a skinnier side. Even your family will call you a fatty if you gain a bit of weight.

Yes, I understand the general idea of love. It really can go both ways, the same with time.. You can know someone for a long time but the spark isn’t there vs knowing someone for a brief moment and already fallen for them.
Some people couldn’t accept that Gu Wei rejects Gao Xi just because they are too similar, but to me it is literally the best reason. Both Gu Wei and Gao Xi are hard worker. Whenever they are together, all they ever talk about is work. Only when Zhi Xiao shows up that Gu Wei’s life brightens and he smiles more. He also overcomes his past because of her and Zhi Xiao is literally “that” someone who can changes his life completely. Gu Wei and Gao Xi are too similar that it leads to a dull atmosphere and eventually, both sides will become exhausted.

Honestly, there is just certain someone that you just can’t fall in love with no matter how long you’ve been with each other. Gao Xi is not that dumb to not take hints that Gu Wei was never into her and there’s just a line that he never want to cross with her. I don’t know what you meant by “behaves badly with her” because there’s no reason to treat her badly because they are friends for so long after all. Gao Xi knows Gu Wei’s personality better than anyone and she still persists with the misunderstandings.
