Not really into the troupe of child ML save child FL then they met again turning into lovers. These type of "fated" plot is overused. I feel like their relationship doesn't even need this type of anchor to develop.
Their happy life is jammed into one episode and the romance is moving too fast (felt very rushed). I AM NOT SATISFIED Q_Q GIVE ME MORE OF THEM!!! Nevertheless, such an amazing drama. Thank you the crew, actor, actresses for piecing together such a splendid performance for us audience. Thank you everyone for tuning in and sharing your rollercoaster ride!! Such an amazing 3 weeks!
It's like The Long Ballad with Dilraba. Their kiss scenes makes me so frustrated coz it's always cut off but it…
I only watch a few of his dramas but I gotta disagree with the "all of his drama are dark theme, less romance" because I remember watching King is Not Easy (1st introduction to BaiLu) and it was hilarious with the comedy.
Besides that I do watch other costume dramas like Royal Feast, Yanxi Palace, Untouchable Lovers, etc that focuses more on the plot itself rather than romance yes, but MY POINT is what century we're in now that they still uses an object to indicate a kiss that's not actually a kiss which left the audience frustrated like in the Long Ballad.
And if you want to me to explain in details, yes Leo Wu was young and he sign a contract of no kissing for that specific drama which is why the scenes are like that... but if we don't know the background, the 2 dramas are similar with the age gap between the leads and them using an object to indicate a kiss. I'm just pointing out the similiarity, no deep meaning.

You're stirring my comment to a whole new perspective lol ππ. I'm just saying that your "different" wasn't my point, and of course I do know the infamous Yu Zheng.

I get that this is a slow burn drama but it wasn't my point. Dilraba and Leo Wu age gap is similar to Jin Yan and Xing Yue. They could have film the kiss scene but decide to "cut" it using the candle similar to The Long Ballad.

Wu Lei was 20 during the filming. There was no confirmation that he couldn't kiss because of young age, but he did sign a contract with "no kissing" during the filimg of The Long Ballad. I also read it somewhere that his mom doesn't actually want him to do kiss scene until he's mature. What's the different with my comment?
Is it really that good? So far I've watched 3 episodes and its been kinda average so far.
This drama is not a romance focus one, it delves into revenge and focus solely on the FL's intelligence to scheme against her enemies. The romance is a slow burn but fit with the plot. Don't know if this is your cup of tea, but it's really good imo.
