It sound similar with one old drama? Is this remake? If so the ending is not good :(
Depends on which previous version you're talking about. The most recent one, The Proud Twins (2005), differs from the parent story quite a bit and cuts out a lot of stuff. From what I remember about the ending of that series, it was different from the book ending also.
