After watching ep 34 my prediction is that demon lord XXC actually remembers the rewritten version of history after TM/Fate messed with everything. Seeing the preview, it looks like ZM made it to the celestial realm s d almost achievrd his goal, but Fate then branded him a liar/traitor and rewrote history to the version evryone now remembers. This is followed by Pearl (via flasback a few ep back) telling TM to change ZM story, and since he was reluctant to, she said she'd do it herslef and jumped into the portal to the mortal realm leading to the current story of MXL and XXC.
Nicely said. Like in some respects he is in denial about his own feelings, I think afraid to even classify them…
I think their relationship really shows that you don't appreciate qhat you have until you lose it (especially in his case) and for her, that once youve had a different life, it's hard to go back to how things used to be. I mean she's seen the world in color, has tasted the flavors of food, and has experienced feelings of joy, sadness and frustration. Her once gray world is not vibrant, so it's understandable she can never be content with her once boring life.
As for TM, I can only see things ending badly for him, as he's unwilling to change. Maybe in the end he'll come around and realize that it's best to treasure precious moments, but if nothing ever changes, how can you ever tell what was special.
I love this show. I love how history is low-key repeating itself in each iteration of their lives. The 2nd ML is…
Nicely said. Like in some respects he is in denial about his own feelings, I think afraid to even classify them as "love" because what would be become if he did love her? All he knows is duty and status as a divine artifact. He's trying so hard to convince her love isn't worth her dying, but if he loves her (which he does) would he also risk dying for it (it seems so since he helped her repair the sky when she was CP).
What irks me though is his repeated overlooking of what she wants for herself. Hes basically said " I dont care if you want to die, I wont let you" - why though? I think he deep down fears the lonliness. Even though divine artifacts arent supposed to have feelings, he at least knows he doesnt want to do eternity by himself so he's doing everything so as not to lose his eternal companion.
I hope Zhao Ming will add some spices when the souls are combined, because the ml can be so bland.
I think we started to see XXC getting a bit more lax and even teasing MXL a bit, but I can definitely see that if he combines with ZM he'll really be able to match her attitude since he almost felt more human (emotionally in touch) than even current XXC
Imagine NXY when had 10/10 of his powers and his special premonition sight... he must have been a beast, especially…
Yeah i wish they gave us more flashbacks of him before evrything went down so we could really see him when he was on equal footing with XXC. But even now he's still strong with three apertures damaged
Damn XXC 's feelings toward MXL are no joke.. he can fight anyone to keep her safe..he won't listen to anyone…
Right! And I could've sworn when she was about to attack him at her masters request and she hesitated, XXC gavr her a quick look that I took to mean "it's ok, do what you have to"
Ofcourse she passed out right after but still, I think he was almost ready to take the hit if she did it
I feel about 2 episodes or so back he was going to give up on trying to further his feelings for MXL so basically…
I'm worried her shift after drinking the disillusionment water will eventually wear down NXY snd get him to move to the dark side. I'm still holding out hope that he'll stay righteous and her good friend til the end, but he kept it a secret from XXC that she drank this water so what are his motives.
I also think he must've been like a bodyguard or brother to her in the previous life
Episode 16:Ok, the bro vibes are immaculate between XXC and NXY. While NXY will be tempted, I don't think he'll…
I agree with prediction 1 but to play devils advocate: current version of her could say that she wrote all that with the assumption that he would read her words and eventually be moved by what she wrote and this is all apart of her plan to woo him and get the pearl.
Ofcourse I do believe she'll stumble upon the journal and knowing herself would question why she'd write such things.
I'll also add a prediction that I've actively been waiting for the moment she sacrifices herself for the greater good. I expected it to happen a few episodes back but see that it'll probably happen later on after she regains her emotions.
There would be no chains from the beginning if she were not an assassin of wufeng but a normal person married…
This is such a great point to make and one I think people overlook. After seeing his backstory we can see that he wasn't always this cold hearted guy but loss and death changed him. I think he really does want a family and to trust another person fully but his position means he's always cautious of letting others near him. In another world where she wasn't an assassin, I'd have love to see SJ and SQ as a regular married couple.
As for TM, I can only see things ending badly for him, as he's unwilling to change. Maybe in the end he'll come around and realize that it's best to treasure precious moments, but if nothing ever changes, how can you ever tell what was special.

1. Does Hee Joo's mother really think shes mute? Like has she forgotten she told her not to speak
2. Why/ where did Hong In-a go this whole time?
3. Who is the real kidnapper and what does he want
These are juat a few of the top questions each episode has yet to answer
