The character she plays has an eating disorder tbh so it kinda makes sense for her to look this skinny in this…
I've read about it, but she doesn't even need a reason. Whether it's hate or "concern," some people need to mind their own business. Again, the hate is disproportionate and disgusting. She hasn't done anything to deserve it.
On Siren’s Kiss Mar 14, 2026
Why is PMY getting so much hate for her looks? Why do some of you people act like you have a right to tell her how she should look?! I find it shocking, honestly. If she had an eating disorder (idk if she does and it's none of my business or yours) the hate is only gonna make it worse. Please be more considerate.

Korean fans are devastating in their drama scores. They don't like and never watched a single episode and rate…
You're lying. They watched 100 Memories and rooted for KJH the entire run. There were articles about how he was more liked than the ML and most comments on social media were positive. The one that keeps getting hate for no reason at all is PMY. Again, she doesn't deserve it, but this isn't about KJH at all. Don't spread lies.

Even now he's already in the top 10 actors with most buzz on RACOI... #9 with 7 minutes of screentime. tvN keeps uploading his reels to promote and hype the drama.

Good try, though.

BJB is not the killer, that would be too easy. I watched Ice World and the killer was a twist, someone that was hard to guess. I think BJB is too obvious and in-your-face, so I'm not buying that he's the main villain.

Don't get me wrong, he is definitely a deranged and mentally unwell guy, but he's not the person CWS is looking for. I think he’s a tortured soul who loves HSA because she did something for him when he was being abused, or maybe she reminds him of someone important from his past. The character profile mentions he had a very traumatic past, and I think PTSD was referenced as well, but don’t quote me on that, I’m not entirely sure. I just remember reading that he had a terrible life, which shaped who he has become.

Based on the amount of praise KJH’s acting is getting from the director, crew, and cast, I think his character is very complex and compelling, but also extremely tragic. He loves HSA but can’t have her, so he’ll eventually choose to die for her. His relationship with HSA was described with an interesting analogy: She's the sun and he's Icarus. Icarus was warned multiple times to stay far away from the sun...but he disobeyed and died.

From their exchange today (HSA and BJB), it’s clear that they both remember each other. This is not their first encounter. HSA seems suspicious of him, while BJB looks like he’s remembering something when interacting with her. They are both playing a cat-and-mouse game and pretending they don’t know one another.

Hahaha. Wow, you guys need help if you think she's an innocent butterfly who always lands where there's a scandal. Poor, poor her. She did nothing wrong. Whatever floats your boat. Don't reply to me. I'm not gonna have this conversation because I know where it leads. Believe whatever you want but go to her profile.

What? KJH in supporting role 😯
Not a supporting role. There are 3 main cast members: PMY, WHJ and KJH. That's how tvN promoted it & the articles say that he plays a main character as well. Let's just wait because the official program grid shows the 3 of them as main characters of the show. They (MDL) are supposedly relying on what namuwiki says, but I'm sure there's a mistake because tvN promotes the show with 3 hashtags.

Also, KJH's role is supposedly "shrouded in mystery" and a bit of a game changer, so that's why we know so little about it.

KJH: “You remember me, don’t you? I thought you would.”
PMY: “I don’t forget anyone once I’ve seen them.”
KJH: “Thank you for helping me win the bid.”
PMY: “You’ve got fine taste, sir.”

That’s the dialogue between Kim Jung Hyun and Park Min Young from the table read.
At first, I thought KJH was going to play a villain, but that exchange didn’t feel villainous at all. It sounded flirty in a very restrained way, like two people who already know each other. Because of that, I was never fully convinced by the stalker or obsessive-man theories.

After watching the trailer, my interpretation changed even more. Now I’m leaning toward Baek Jun Beom (KJH) being the fiancé who dies early and sets everything in motion. Since Siren's Kiss is based on the Japanese drama Ice World, I wonder if they’ve merged several of the dead fiancés into one character. KJH being main cast makes that feel even more likely.
The teaser really pushed me in that direction. We see him in a pool of blood, and Seolah closing his eyes. That moment felt quiet and intimate, not fearful. It looked like she was losing someone she loved, not confronting a threat.

I’m guessing the drama starts in the present and fills in BJB and Seolah’s relationship through flashbacks. So we’d have two timelines running at the same time: her past with BJB and her present with CUS (WHJ) during the investigation. It actually reminds me a bit of Hotel Del Luna, not in story but in the way the past love keeps resurfacing while the present relationship develops.

The idea that BJB faked his death and turns into a hidden villain sounds plausible, but right now it feels less convincing to me. Nothing we’ve seen so far really points to that kind of motivation. But it would be a really cool twist...

The only thing I can’t fully figure out yet is where the other men in the teaser fit in. Maybe she dates them after BJB’s death as a way to cope, and their deaths feed into the siren narrative. Or maybe they come before BJB and he’s the final and most important one. Either way, his death feels like the emotional turning point.

Or maybe BJB has an evil twin who wants to kill HSA for getting his brother killed lol. Who knows?

Anyways, this is just a theory. The teaser looked amazing and now my speculation fairies are working overtime 😆. Take it with a pinch of salt.

When did I say he didn't have any responsibility? I clearly stated he did.

The issue is her fans blaming him for her actions and coming to his profile. Need I remind everyone that SYJ came back first with "Eve" and when she did there was more negative news about her? Her neighbours said she was extremely rude and a complete pain in the neck, and so was her family. That's how her first attempt at coming back failed. Last year she received an offer (something with Forest in the title) & decided to go to SNL and make fun of all the people she had hurt while mocking them live on TV. Result? The drama offer disappeared. That's all on her.

And saying “he knew he was being controlled” isn’t accurate. That’s not how abusive dynamics work — victims usually don’t realize it while they’re in it. They mostly act out of fear.

But I don't want to argue, so I won't answer anymore. It's been almost 10 years.

can't stand this guy...😒 I used to like him until he messed Seo ye ji up like that. 쓰레기 🗑
Seo Ye-ji did this to herself. Her fans are obnoxious children who can’t see that she’s an abuser and that KJH already tried to shield her back in 2018, when he didn’t say a word and handled all the hate alone.

He has already tried to clear her name multiple times, but people are not dumb and don’t buy the idea that she’s innocent. She was just as guilty as he was, but she refuses to apologise sincerely and thought it was a brilliant decision to show up on SNL, mock victims of gaslighting, and joke about a very serious issue.

She lost the offer she had received because she was stupid, and KJH had absolutely nothing to do with that. It’s not his fault that she doesn’t know how to be a wise human being. It’s also not his fault that every single time she tries to come back, either she or her family end up making headlines for something negative.

When it’s not her being an idiot, her family takes the wheel and neighbours call them out for the problematic shtshow of a household they are. That is not KJH’s fault.

He's in the poster. Right after Heo Namjun, there's another name and it says "and Kim Junghyun". That's the kind of billing important actors get when their characters are important and pivotal. I think KJH is act 2's ML. There was an article recently literally saying that "the youth to look forward to the most in act 2 is Junghyun" He's the real ML but he was shooting a variety show with Lee Minjung, so he wasn't around for the first half of the drama.

Even the Daddy Long Legs reference comes from a book in which the FL ends up with her Daddy Long Legs. That's her endgame.

Exactly! Both parties were at fault, but SYJ apologized and has since been hiding away, while he continues to…
I don’t take it personally at all. I don’t like when people try to victimize her when she’s just as responsible for the scandal as he is. Without her text messages and constant interference, this situation wouldn’t have happened.

Too long to explain, so I’ll try to summarize. There’s zero proof that he did the same to her (the text messages); it’s something her ex-agency said without presenting any evidence, and SYJ’s fandom keeps claiming he did the same to her when there’s no indication he did. Her then-agency was desperately trying to save her career and tried to shift all the blame onto KJH, but it didn’t work.

When he apologized the first time, he also defended himself against his ex-agency claiming he had faked his health issues (even made his health records public to prove he hadn’t lied), so he mentioned it in his apology. He was accused of trying to use his mental health as an excuse, so he apologized again, saying he hadn’t meant to excuse himself and that he intended to apologize in person. He apologized in person, and the director of Time told him he wanted to work with him again, which helped his image recover a bit. SYJ, on the other hand, waited a whole year to apologize, trying to treat the whole thing as something insignificant and downplaying it as a childish mistake.

She tried to shift all the blame onto JH, but the text messages were pretty damning, so she couldn’t convince knets of her innocence. They started calling her thick-skinned and said she was trying to gaslight them by deflecting. That was all on her because she could’ve just apologized and admitted she was wrong like JH had done, but she thought she could manipulate others into thinking she had done nothing wrong and get away with it.

When reporters tried to dig additional dirt on KJH, they found nothing. With SYJ, it was different because even if you remove the bullying, the blind items, and the Spain issue, she had lied about her academic background and had other questionable actions that he didn’t.

You have it backwards. HE shouldered all the blame back in 2018 (he didn’t even mention SYJ when the whole issue started, and she had her fair share of responsibility, too). In 2021, he was the first one to write an apology saying SYJ wasn’t responsible and that everything was his fault. He apologized multiple times, but SHE didn’t. SYJ only apologized on the day of her drama premiere (Eve), which is why knets don’t want to forgive her. They know she wasn’t sincere.

What do you mean when you say he didn’t lose anything? Are you kidding? He was a rising star in 2018, and this scandal almost ruined his career. Then he played GSJ in CLOY (2019) and made a recovery. By 2021, he was practically an A-lister after Mr. Queen, but he lost it all because of this scandal that was revived by his ex-agency. He’s apologized around 7 times. Every time he gives an interview, he apologizes.

Misogyny? YAWN. KJH has rebuilt his career from scratch TWICE. He’s extremely good at choosing his scripts and usually picks dramas or films that have high ratings or become successful. That’s a talent SYJ doesn’t have.

This seems to be a step back after the massive success of Mr queen. He is a good actor but ended up having too…
He wasn't on reality tv shows like KSH, and only CLOY was on Netflix while airing, so the exposure wasn't the same. It also doesn't help that his IG account never got verified, so people don't know if it's truly his. Plus his radio silence for years... Even so, Netflix SK & tvN recently bought KJH's indie film (Unforgivable) and it was very successful: #1 on TVing (tvN's streaming service) & #2 on Netflix SK (was on Netflix's top 10 for a month), so I think he still has a good # of people who want him back.

I believe he chose this project because the writer is kind of popular & very good at writing witty roles. That's what he excels at, and it has become his niche. Lead roles in dramas with witty humor that occasionally go into melodrama territory & switch back to comedy. KJH's acting is at its best when he smoothly transitions from one genre to another within the same drama. He shines when he does that because he does it in a very natural way.

I had a lot of fun. The first part of the episode was a bit sad, but the cinematography was gorgeous and the plot was interesting. The moment Okshin and Gakshin + Kokdu took the reins of the episode the comedy made everything even better.

I liked the acting and the pace. I didn't feel it was rushed. The drama felt dynamic and lively. I can't wait for tomorrow!

Gyejeol is a no nonsense girl. I like how she stops that lady and grabs her arms and then doesn't cower in front of the SFL. She's (GJ) absolutely trolling Kokdu and I'm here for it.

Kokdu seems to be haunted by something. I remember I read his position as a grim reaper was a way of torturing him for something he had done. I wonder what it was and why he has those mood swings. Wow. KJH's performance in that hospital scene. So thrilling! I'm a bit confused by his interest in GJ, though. Has he recognized her, or is he trying to get close to her because he has ulterior motives? Why are they signing a dating contract?

Do Jinwoo has a backstory, too? I think we'll see where his and Kokdu's stories intercept and why Kokdu ends up in his body. I'm curious.

IDK why all this fuss over Im Soohyang. She's good and that JTV remake was terribly written (she did what she could actingwise and the bar was a Golden Globe winner, so people are being too harsh on her). WTV was meant to flop from the get go. In what universe the US/Venezuela/Mexico and South Korea have something in common? What similarities can you find between kdramas and telenovelas? Even makjang kdramas are miles away from the craziness you find in Mexican/Venezuelan/Colombian productions. The cultural gap was HUGE and the writers couldn't find a way to create a good adaptation which inevitably affected the actors.

From what I see in the trailer, her acting is quite good and the chemistry with Kim Junghyun is on point. I love that her character isn't a pushover and I'm really looking forward to the premiere.
