You not liking a comedic scene (which I found very funny) has nothing to do with Ryeoun's acting.
yeah maybe it's the comedic aspect that's not getting to me

Comedy movies often include characters who are portrayed as idiots or foolish because they serve as a source of…

Not a fan of Ryeoun's acting or should I say Ha Eungyeol's portrayal? it just feels stupid how he's supposed to be this super smart kid but for some reason in the scene where he first meets younger Choi Segyeong in 1995 for example, he kept calling her ahjumma, speaking to her multiple times about situations she wouldn't encounter until 2023 like boy you know damn well this isn't your timeline

I feel like Choi Se Kyeon's characters are so unnecessary. We already know their love life is never going to work…
I agree!!

I hear you! they have always been a thing yes but they were still toned down so in that sense there is clear difference between the ones on TV and the ones from our era of streaming platforms! as someone who mainly watches these types of heavy themes ones, psychological thriller stuffs, I noticed the shift, for instance when 'Extracuricular' was released I was like "damn south koreans finally becoming more bold with their kdramas productions"
that's why personally I understand the innocent argument, even though Of course it was like you said due to censorship to avoid being completely abandoned!

I have a couple dark or mature ambiance series before 2018/2017 in mind, White Christmas, Save Me, Solomon's Perjury, Misaeng, God Gift's 14 days, Gapdong, Two Weeks

they're not wrong tho, apart from movies, that's facts for tv shows, before the era of overseas streaming services, like disney+, netflix, involment with kdramas, i can't recall even one title that has very graphic things, extreme violence etc...
I 100% agree with the fact that Kdramas were softer and there's a certain liberty they have now. even knifes, cigarettes etc..would be blurred so.....

Still so many movies and series were refused or aren't on kisskh cuz they are joint productions yet One Piece is here (which i still doubt was made with the help of a japanese staff/studio for the filming and everything)
so it's all the more surprising

that argument is kinda dumb
having a japanese actor on a US show doesn't automatically make it the origin of the show, especially when he's the only one. Plenty of tv shows have actors from other countries partaking in it yet we don't suddenly consider them the ethnicity of the actors lol
but i saw Zomary's comment about it being a joint production thus why it's here which is more logical

well...is it really? apart from the fact that Oda is one of the producer, this is a 100% US series so it's still funny to see it on kisskh
