well drama is a lot of hussle compared to movies..

probably got tired of making dramas and decided to stick with movies this year lol, he has like what 6-7 movies set to premier in 2019,

yeah filming was done already, was supposed to air in 2018 but for unknown reason still haven't been aired.

lol they filmed this drama way before in 2017..

nah this one ain't showing this year cuz it seems like they (the PD and producer) want to show it on national TV imo..or probably around October or November IF they show it as a webdrama only.. iv'e read info on some costume drama that will probably air during the campaign period but as a webdrama only (online platform). which means it's probably ok (or not that strict) to show costume dramas if you released it online rather than it being broadcast on NationalTV, cuz ive read that NationalTVs already has a list of shows that had been approved by the board come October - December...

the pd before said that they were planning a sequel for this but since the drama still contained plots and lines that were confirmed plagiarized from the original source, seems pretty confirmed that this drama wont ever get a second season. sad but that seems the conclusion for this once decent project.

sequel is almost impossible due to copyright issues..

iQiyi have license it already, it's like the Chinese equivalent of Netflix, it's enough already unless they want also to get license by local channels.

what I know is NCM already listed this as a 2019 released and iQiyi have license it, if they won't released it it will conflict with their schedule releases as they already have scheduled movies and dramas till 2021 , I give this till sept because i have faith that it should supposed to b released this year but due to the 100 day campaign this can again be delayed till first half next year..

fingers crossed this august tho... hopefully.

this was a joint special web drama, was shown on an event in2017 iirc..

lmao, actually I was still studying when this drama was announce.And that was like 2 years ago.. this already was on post production when they announce it.. and honestly I have little hope for it being televised, probably won't ever anymore..

iirc, tears was delayed due to the novel write and the producer not in good terms.

this was supposed to have one, but production is halted, same with FBS, dunno why some company's do dramas but is not fully committed in completing them..

hype for an actor matters very little specially in Chinese dramas imo, what matters most is the overall hype for the said drama, and this imo tops the list since it was announce in 2017 and the hype is still strong before it was eventually delayed in 2018, but chinese board seems like doesn't care about hype anyways, as they can even cancel on going shows if they think that it violates their rules..

I've read news that most historical and idol drama will probably air august till October only because SAPPRFT will again implement a new regulation as we'll as a new campaign, in this new campaign the board will select shows that is more realistic and is tuned more timely and is considered relevant in China's hyper modern political period, also during the campaigns period they are promoting broadcasting company's not to televised shows that is not intuned to the current atmosphere (historical,drama,fantasy) those kind... so if this will not air before the said dates, we can kiss goodbye again till next year lmao...

it's admins fault. it needs admins approval before being confirmed if i remember correctly... after the editing process it will send approval to the admins first

nah first reason for last years delay was the law they said.. but that was 2018 so shove that away imo.. eagle flag also suffer from that, but was delayed for like 1-2 months only as eagle flag is airing nowadays meaning it wont take that long to make edits if you suffer from that problem.. but this.. i really dont know what reason is more probable rather than no one is willing to buy it's broadcasting rights. but again this drama was highly anticipated since it was announce on 2017 even in mainland china.. so probable reason is that reason 1. no one is willing to buy broadcasting rights which is pretty stupid as it's a highly anticipated drama, 2 the major sponsor wont sell the broadcasting rights at a reasonable price which makes reason 1 probable. 3rd internal conflict that prevents this from airing.. (i.e staffs are not fully paid, sponsors haven't done their part.. etc.) things like that.. but the regulation that prevents some dramas to air is definitely not the reason here as that was already used last year which makes it stupid that till now its still not re edited to pass that regulation.

this series and the others are like different times etc but is made on the same universe anyways.. but this one and the Novoland castle in the Sky 2 which is schedules for release in 2020 is a direct sequel.. so basically this and that are the only ones that matter in terms of viewing order, the sequel is about their child so basically the cannon ending is the good one as this drama has both sad and good ending (28.29) making 29 the cannon ending..
