Here are some of the restrictions: Article five of the rule spells out which “specific content must not appear in television series,” and includes a lengthy list of banned content:

Damages the image of army, police, national security forces, judicial officers and other specific professions, groups, and public. figures of other social organizations and group. Please, note this fact about the ending and do not let it disappoint you, because this drama overall is good.
In China there are a lot of restrictions for what can and can not be broadcasted, all the dramas, tv shows and movies first go through revision and if the content is not following the rules it may never be broadcasted. This is why some plot lines must be redone, so they can pass the ban. Please, support the good plot line and do not let the ending ruin your experience.
