i would not lie, this drama is very addictive. It is also a purely slap-kiss genre drama, with crazy second female lead. I would not say that i like the characters very much, all of them did wrong something, and some stuffs are just unforgivable for me. But if you have free time i would recommend this drama, the quality of the drama, the acting are all superb, especially the male lead's mom, I've watched a few dramas with that lady and i would say this is by far her best character! I actually kinda pity the Male lead, he has so much pressure on him and his parents are not taking his sides, but also at the same time so funny to watch!
Your casting list seems cool, and the characters seem quite compatible except for the Samshin Lady, i think we would need someone with a more fierce, charismatic-nuna vibe actress for the role
"#Do note that the "romance" in the title does not equal to the romance we usually understand, its more of a way…
There IS romantic context in the drama, but the "romantic" word in the title does not mean the romance between Dong Joo and Seo Jeong. It is Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim and not Romantic Doctor , Dr. Kang or Dr. Yoon.
Finished watching it last week, the BEST first love drama of 2019. I would rate it higher than A Love so Beautiful due to its more solid plot lines, character development and awesome actors. Not to mention the intentionally not-so-obvious coupled outfits and their apartment is so so warm and cozy. Gu Weiyi is the new boyfriend material, in-line with He Yichen (My Sunshine) and Xiao Nai (Love 020).
101% recommending this to those who want something light and fresh!
To me, it felt like Reply '88 was the most popular and people barely talked about the other ones. However, it…
that's because Reply 1997 came out quite early in 2012, which is 7 years ago, of course people won't talk that much about it. Reply 1988 is the newest of the reply series, and the casts became huge after the drama, so its still kinda relatable compared to 1997.
OMG let's be friends, Push and James Jirayu are both my fav Thai actors! Have you watched Waen Dok Mai? Its Push's drama and i really like his character in it! Recommend Wannueng Jaa P'ben Sup'tar, also Push's drama too! For Jirayu, you should definitely watch Padiwarada and Khun Chai Puttipat , these two dramas made me fell in love with him!
Just wanted to say for anyone who read the spoilers (specifically on what is revealed in Ep 11), please don't…
Agreed. They have quite an even relationship towards the end. From what i know this is adapted from a Chinese novel and the original story about the male lead and the storyline is more "terrible", something like a fanfiction written by a 14 yo kinda thing, so the script writers improvised the plot and improved the characters very well. And its not so dramatic, at least we don't see any money-in-the face slap or miscarriage kinda thing.
If the drama finishes airing, can someone tell me how it ends hehehehe im fine with spoilers. I just want to know…
Happy ending, everyone including the male secretary and the superstar best friend get a romantic interest. Of course there are a few plot twists but its fine, just beware that the initial approach of the male lead was intended and leukemia is fake, that's the biggest plot twist i guess.
a little bit of vibe where you see character growth in both leads especially the female lead. I would say its worth watching, not that stupid, just fun and cute. 100% romantic comedy, maybe a remedy from all the sadness from Goblin?
Best Medical Drama i've watched so far in my life. ~ Teacher Kim's character is amazing. ~ You get all actors with great acting, fabulous hospital nurses/helpers/doctors. ~ Quite real medical/surgery scenes (note that i DO NOT come from a medical background, but it was okay to me). ~ Intense moments from ep 1 to ep 21. ~ No shitty romance scenes in places where there shouldn't be. ~ Character development, you see characters fall down, learn and grow :) #Do note that the "romance" in the title does not equal to the romance we usually understand, its more of a way to live life, to pursue your life goals and etc. So technically there isn't a lot of romantic scenes in this drama.
Am i the only one here who did not enjoyed this drama? I mean the plot was good, actors were superb but the whole direction is just so so dark, until a point that it became a burden to me. I didn't even manage to finish it at my usual drama speed. Towards the end it was nearly a torture for me to finish it, but i wanted to know the ending. Weird thing is, if there is a season 2, i will watch it, I wanna know if they succeeded or not.
Overall: 5/10 Rewatch value: 0/10 Acting: 8/10 Plot: 7/10 Filming/Details/Drama set: 9/10 (especially love the lighting they use to express the theme of the drama
My sincere advice is, if you're a RomCom person, please just DON'T touch this drama no matter how good they say it is, its just so dark. On the other hand, if you're a person that has a thing for thriller content, please go ahead, its a nicely done drama.
