This was a well-produced drama A great main & supporting cast, an amazing OST, a good plot & the humor was the best part of this drama. Hye Sun stole the show from everyone because she was definitely the best character. She kept the show afloat when the main leads decided they wanted to be a drag during some parts. I usually love only focusing on the main lead relationship, but it was fun to watch her developing romance with Jae Jin who was another highlight of the drama.
Onto the leads, Jang Ki Yong & Lee Hye Ri had great chemistry, and their kiss scenes were top-tier. I absolutely loved the silly dynamic in their relationship that kept things interesting. The only thing I did not care for was her calling him sir.
King the Land is how romantic comedies should be done. Of course, it was filled with all the usual K-Drama cliches that you can think of, and of course, there are corny + cheesy parts but it all worked for the most part.
Sarang is one of my favorite FLs. She was not immature or created misunderstandings out of thin air. Yoonah does a great job expressing her emotions. I love her relationship with her grandma & her friends. Her friends and she were always having the times of their lives in this show. I love a good sismance.
Jun Ho as Gu Won will go down as one of the greenest flags in all of K-Dramaland. I mean I cannot resist my toxic king obsessive CEO troupe... hehe, but he might be the healthiest CEO ever. Of course, he had the usual CEO trauma, but the way he allowed himself to heal did not affect his relationship with Sarang or his bestie, Sangsik. His smile was also so healing... I mean I love watching him be happy. This is my first Junho drama & my 2PM guy can ACT. I need to watch his other dramas.
THE RELATIONSHIP WAS SO HEALTHY. No unnecessary misunderstandings that drag on for eternity. Whenever something came up, the leads COMMUNICATED. It was so refreshing. I love how they always support one another & always down for one another no matter what hardships come our way.
Of course, the OST was elevating all the scenes... highly recommended for a light, fluffy healthy romantic comedy. 8.7/10
Heartbeat started going downhill around ep 6. I held out hope because I really like Taecyeon, but with the writers pulling crazy plots out of nowhere and the ridiculous motivations of all the villains it really started to become a chore to watch this. If the leads had chemistry, it might have distracted me from the horrible plot, but they barely had any. This drama was definitely a waste of my time, but at least some of the music was good! 3/10
The 1st 5 episodes were so good, but it started falling off a bit after that. I cannot connect or invest emotionally towards anyone. Idk this show is missing something. Then, the cat dude is always coming up with the most ridiculous rule ever... these writers are really something.
Ricky, Gunwook & Matthew are my biases in the group from Boys Planet and I love them even more after this trip! Still my bias as a ZEROSES💜
Ricky looked so fierce, but he is a gentle guy & low-key funny is what I have gathered from this show. I realized I did not know much about him other than his catchphrase "Young & Rich, Tall & Handsome. I'm Charisma Boss Baby Ricky.", he can dance really well & I love his light, breezy vocals. I got to know more of his personality & I love what I received!
Gunwook is such a moodmaker and I love how smart he is and how confident he is in himself. He really is an all-rounder. He reminds me of a certain maknae with how golden he is! He puts 1000% into everything & that is why I think I am so drawn to him! He is going to do so great on variety shows!!!
Matthew's smile needs to be protected at all cost! I realized this during the "Say My Name Saga" when his smile fell for a moment. I loved how unfiltered he is. He is probably going to get media training which I hate... hopefully not because he is so funny!
I love how dependable Hanbin is as a person and as a leader. He makes all the members feel comfortable going to him with whatever. Also, I love how low-key funny he is.
Jiwoong is such a fake maknae at times! It was so fun seeing him being unserious for a bit! He is SOOOO handsome & such a good cook.
Taerae & Gyuvin were the surprises for me because I really did not know them much, but Taerae is the funny rational one & I love his random singing. Meanwhile, Gyuvin is the irrational funny one.
With this show, you can tell Hao is an introverted extrovert because he has gotten so comfortable now that he talks comfortably to everyone now. I learned he is most likely to burn water haha... cooking is not for him.
Yujin acts just like an adorable maknae! I love how tries so hard to convince everyone that he is not a baby... so cutely. Haha.
I love this camping trip so much! I love seeing how much closer they became & the special individual relationships they each have with one another! I hope this helped to calm down their nerves before their debut on July 10!! I know they will put their all into it & it will be an amazing debut! Looking forward to all the future trips, interviews, variety show, comebacks, albums, dance choreography, behind the scenes and whatever else they want to give us for the next 2.5 years! So sad they cannot be a permanent group! But, I will follow-up with them all afterwards💜💜💜 ZEROSES💜💜💜
Yes totally agree with you on LYX. He deserves all the accolades for his portrayal of 6 roles in TTEOTM. Beyond…
Yess!! He definitely put in the work on his acting. He was alway great, but he went into the top-tier range with this drama! I am highly anticipating his next drama!
As for my girl Bai Lu, she is a phenomenal actress and you are right she did all she could with the script that I think very few could pull off. If it were others, idk if I would have still liked the character by the end. And, thanks for the invite! I will check it out.
Till the End of the Moon was one of my highly anticipated Chinese dramas of 2023. Did it live up to the hype? Yes & No.
First things first, Luo Yunxi pretty much carried this drama on his back. Not saying others did not play their parts well. It is just that his acting is so superior to everyone else's... yes even my favorite C-Actress, Bai Lu. I dare say this is his best role... I felt all the emotions he portrayed so deeply. He is so talented!
Bai Lu was great in this drama, but The Legends is still her best role for me. I love Pian Ran with the Qingyu... they were the couple I really wanted to have a happy ending despite all the craziness that was going on in this show! I will say I was super disappointed in Deng Wei's characters because I hated all of them. His characters were annoying pest that would not go away.
This drama reminded me of the tragic feeling I got when I was watching The Wolf, which I did not mind because I love a good traumatic story. With that said, this should be renamed Lies, Deception, and Trauma with a side of Misunderstandings. It definitely broke my heart, but I enjoyed it. 9.2/10
I think should everyone should watch Love Is Sweet after this. It is my favorite Modern Romance Cdrama... consider it their 4th life.
The fact the wicked lady is still alive 35 1/2 episodes deep into the show and getting away with it is pissing me off right now. Probably why I cannot rate it higher than a 8.5 right now
This was my 1st survival kpop show & I remember rooting so hardcore for the boys because Bang Chan's story touched my heart. I remember catching up in the nick of time to vote for my bias Felix! The group would not be the same without him! Still love them to this day! A STAY FOREVER💜
I am glad my Itzy girls got to debut though, especially Chaeryong ❤
Yeon & Rang are the best brothers in Kdramaland! Their relationship carried S1 and it was even better in S2! The romance was so well done between Rang and his MerQueen, Yeo Hee.
I was getting ready to write a whole rant about Yeon's mountain god besties because at one point I thought with friends like them who need enemies. They were super frustrating he really has so much patience, BUT the finale was so well done!!! It wrapped everything up with a big pretty bow that I forgot I hated them.
Do we need a S3 no, but do I WANT a S3? Yes, there are story pieces the writers have set up for a S3, and more of the brothers is never a bad thing for me! 8.5/10
I have only felt SL syndrome twice... 1st in My Love From the Star with Park Hae Jin's character and in Extraordinary You with Baek Kyung (really just wanted him to be happy and did not care about the romance).
Seo Yul in Alchemy of Souls and Seojun in True Beauty have my sympathies but I love the MLs too much in each show.
First things first, congratulations to Junwon & Ling Qi for making it! They were my top choices from the beginning!
Out of the 20 that was left, 10/12 of them who I was rooting for made it! There is one that does not deserve to be there... Hyunbin, Jaemin or Tae Seon should have made it! Smh.
Beomjun & Myungjae were the best rappers on Boys Planet & did not get to debut. I hope they can debut with another group!
The editing was really bad! A poor man's Boys Planet! Saying that, I will be supporting this group because I really love most of the boys!
Onto the leads, Jang Ki Yong & Lee Hye Ri had great chemistry, and their kiss scenes were top-tier. I absolutely loved the silly dynamic in their relationship that kept things interesting. The only thing I did not care for was her calling him sir.
I LOVED IT!! 9/10
