I started my comments with good intent of finding out why this drama get rated so highly. But obsessive fans or trolls like you completely made me head down the wrong path of meaningless arguments. I repeat again: I am not a troll; I have no intention of taking down anyone for the sake of that. I only write my opinion about a drama and rate it as objectively as personal preferences allow.

He is an actor with acts for all to see - I just think he looked silly in this drama - how is that a character assassination - he was just acting. But you have not even seen me except for a few lines I wrote. By the way, I write also for many English-language entertainment magazines and I usually write objectively. My opinion about this drama might be about just turning for the better as I had explained below to RuxiTS. But I am certainly going to talk about attempts by engaged trolls trying to push up the rating of this drama. Btw I don't get intimidated by trolls. If you had watched this drama and knew it well, you could have given me better advice. Continue replying and I will continue the tango. Give me more reasons to worsen my reviews on other review platforms.

What i definitely know is you have a lot of spare time at hand to write such long unconstructive comments. Over in NZ with me is a smart lady who was also watching this drama separately and able to give me some useful feedback. Her comments were: episode 10 is a bit slow, it gets better later. And if I am impatient with the overall pace, set the pace on WeTV (Tencent international) faster. I set the pace to 1.25x; of course the sound turned a little squeaky at times and movement a bit jerky. But it was more enjoyable for the impatient me. These are the types of constructive advice that would help and there is no need for all these finger pointing.

It is not nice to make unfounded assumptions. You took offence just because i criticized this drama and started a personal attack. That's doubly not nice.

All that I see are a lot of viewers eager to defend this drama. But none had been able to tell me what's so great about it.

This drama is so highly rated here and there are so many positive comments. But I am into episode 10 and about to give up - I find it so boring. Someone please tell me, is it going to get better? The humour is slapstick and not witty. Dylan was a far cry from expected. I think Alen Fang would fill this role better - he has this twinkle in his eyes when mischievous. Dylan was only just silly.

A video on YouTube said that this drama was suspended from release because the lead actor Chen FeiYu evaded tax and was caught. So all his dramas were suspended. Anyone has more info?

I wish the reviews are listed with the most recent first so I don't have to scroll for miles to the end. This drama is already 8 years old. It might be a block buster for its time. More of outstanding dramas are released in recent years. What do new viewers think about it after being spoiled by the competition?

If they can't release this in China, perhaps they could consider selling the rights to an overseas company or releasing it overseas. Save us overseas viewers from the wait.

Figured that out. Created my own lists. But cannot seem to navigate back to the generic lists. Any idea how to?

The lists of the cast are quite loosely put together. Some with significant support roles are in the guest lists while some that I don't even remember or notice are listed on the support list. For example Lord Pingnan, ChenYing, Jiang BoYou, Yan Mu, Dowager Xue should not be on the guest appearances but on the support list. There always the mention of SPECIAL guest appearances in dramas - usually of FAMOUS celebrities who make one-off appearances in dramas. Do they qualify as these? But the guest list here are just for some short appearances.

Conversely the salt merchant, silk merchant, Zhang Zhe's mother and a number of others should be in the guests list. These lists are all muddled up here.

What part did Liu Ze Yu acted? Don't remember him. Why is there two Gu ChunFang - I saw Tan Jian Chang, but when did Desmond Tan appear? In parts that had been censored?
