The lists of the cast are quite loosely put together. Some with significant support roles are in the guest lists while some that I don't even remember or notice are listed on the support list. For example Lord Pingnan, ChenYing, Jiang BoYou, Yan Mu, Dowager Xue should not be on the guest appearances but on the support list. There always the mention of SPECIAL guest appearances in dramas - usually of FAMOUS celebrities who make one-off appearances in dramas. Do they qualify as these? But the guest list here are just for some short appearances.
Conversely the salt merchant, silk merchant, Zhang Zhe's mother and a number of others should be in the guests list. These lists are all muddled up here.
What part did Liu Ze Yu acted? Don't remember him. Why is there two Gu ChunFang - I saw Tan Jian Chang, but when did Desmond Tan appear? In parts that had been censored?
I have been trying to figure out who acted Jian Shu, Xie Wei's bodyguard. Dao Qin is listed but not Jian Shu. That's regrettable. I saw him in the League of Nobleman acting an elderly innkeeper and looked entirely in tune with a very different character. A very good second tier actor. He played quite a significant role in this drama. It's a shame to miss him out.
This list should be voted by the viewers of this website, not by one author. Same goes for other lists. Anyway, this list looks very outdated and there is no explanation on how it is derived - that's the trouble when it is constructed by one person. It stays static until they are motivated to update it.
Grammatical error: It should be A League of Noblemen. A league is a collection of people, countries, or groups. So it should be plural: Noblemen NOT Nobleman. How do you form a league with 1 person? Or more accurately, A League of Noble Men, since Zhang Ping is not a nobleman but he is noble.
Wow... amazingly good. Wish they would produce a prequel. I am really curious how XueNing became the empress when the Dowager was such a domineering person and had her niece in mind as the next empress.
This theme sounds like one of the movies under the Back to the Future banner. Anyone old enough to have watched that movie, as well as this drama, and enlighten me?
It seems this drama is released but unable to pinpoint which platform it is shown. Some online sources says Tencent; some says Prime. Let me know if you have figured out and watched it.
I hope there will a Part 2 that would answer all the unanswered questions in Part 1.
Is TanTai Jin related to the God of War, Ming Ye? Why did the God of War lie in wait for TanTai Jin? The explanation he gave was a bit lame, as the two seems more closely linked than that.
What is the mystery behind the name Cang Jiu Ming that his master gave to him? In Chinese, it means 9 Ming. Is he the re-incarnate of Ming Ye after 9 generations?
How did TanTai Jin became the Demon King before Li SuSu intervene? It appears The Demon King, TanTai Jin, allows Li SuSu to return to the past as he did not interfere with her ritual process, and he recognises her. Why?
Lol.... For me, an overall is not even full 8.0 for me. Many areas kinda disappointing me. Because of this, many…
I appreciate it more from the overall romantic vibe rather than the logic - the chemistry between the leads, costume, cinematography, backdrop and background music - forms a lovely blend. As for the logic, I suspect a lot is trimmed along with the explanation, for example why did Er Yu has the same tattoo that DongYue did on Feng Xi since he was from a previous life before DongYue was resurrected?
So I am thinking of watching this but halfway through the second episode, I think it showed the ML has someone…
Thanks for asking me - great to know someone appreciates my opinion. You guess it right - the second female lead did become vengeful as further misunderstanding aggravated the relationship. But on the whole this is not a tragedy. There are a lot of humour which lighten the mood - I gave it a high rating because of the humour. The story is quite predictable for most part. If you can understand Mandarin, you might appreciate the humour better. Watch a few more episodes and you can decide.
This drama is excellent. The battles are very well choreographed and it looks like a high budget production. The backdrop are very realistic and the cast plays their part well. I think it is underrated on this website. It is a rarity to see Zhang Zi Yi in a drama. She did very well in this drama.

Is Jiu Ming going to return? And how?
