I love your review and the topics you bring to the analysis. I believe this kind of fantasy dramas, when done…
It is wonderful to know that someone enjoyed my review—this is truly encouraging and motivates me to keep writing. I get the sense that we may share a like-minded perspective on reviews and dramas.
This drama is under-rated here. It deserves a rating in the 8.5 to 9 range. The ending is bittersweet and can absolutely rend your heart, although not a tragedy. The two leads carry the drama through fabulously and the key supporting actors/actresses do equally well.
This drama is a hidden gem—far more captivating than its rating suggests. It delivers on every front and is definitely worth watching. Liu Xue Yi not only delivers a standout performance with his nuanced acting, but also looks absolutely handsome throughout—an irresistible combination that makes the drama even more enjoyable.
I typically don't watch drama rated less than 8 on mydramalist.com. Should I make an exception for this one? Why is this drama less than 8 when it looks so promising?
Xiao Zhan's performance in The Untamed is outstanding. He is very suitable for a lively, somewhat rebellious character. The stuffy gentleman type just not so great for him.
I heard this rumour that Liu Xue Yi is retiring from acting. I hope this is not true. He is an excellent actor. What's more he is good looking and a pleasure to look at. I rate him as the best looking Chinese actor. And his career has just taken off with more lead roles in excellent dramas. I hope to watch more of his dramas.
