I like different genres and themes, although I barely watch xianxias, new / modern style wuxias and romance. I tend to go always for meaninful watches as I don´t vibe with escapism in my experience, but there´s always exceptions as this is a preference based on my personality and not a rule set in stone.
I do reviews only for dramas that touched me somehow over the average and when I´m in the mood of writing.. But again, this isn´t a fix rule. What you´ll never find is a review of what I think is a mid, boring or bad drama because I simple dropp those - but what doesn´t suit me is perhaps your favourite.
The ratings given to my watches are considering similar parametres among genres, but also having in mind the differences between them and withing a specific one, too. I never approach different genres with a uniform mindset for all.
For example, if I watch a fantasy show, I´ll take into consideration the tropes, rules and the state of art for that genre and the industry when evaluating it, and won´t expect phycologycal realism as in a gritty thriller, and so on.
