After finishing Our Universe, I checked this page as I genuinely thought she might be a new actress. I was honestly surprised to see that she’s the same person from Dear.M. Her face is completely different! My brain still struggles to register how this can be the same person from Dear M. Even her small cute dimples are gone now:(
This was a decent watch. Somewhere between a 6.5 and 7.5. It definitely doesn’t deserve ratings as low as 3 or 4. Some of the reviews and comments on MDL feel a bit exaggerated
I honestly don’t understand the amount of hate the sunbae gets here. From what I saw, he was simply trying from his side while Hyun jin never clearly turned him down and even willingly went on dates with him. The moment she finally rejected him, he respected that and became very clear about his boundaries. After that, he didn’t interfere any further. So why so much hate for him?
Personally, I also liked that phase of longing when Sunbae appeared more frequently than Tae hyung. That period actually worked well narratively. It created space for her to truly feel his absence and reflect on her emotions. Instead of rushing the romance, it allowed her to genuinely miss him and understand what he meant to her. For me, that emotional gap made the eventual realization feel more authentic rather than forced.
And seriously what was up with Jang Ki-yong fake smiling the whole time in this. I’ve never seen him act like this in any of his dramas. It honestly looked like he was trying so hard to look romantic and genuinely interested that it almost made me laugh. Like sir… who forced you??🫣
Ewww, what were those last two episodes?! 😭 Like, okay fine — the story was already kinda bland, I accepted that. But suddenly throwing in every cliché possible just because the writer ran out of ideas?? That was TOO MUCH. I genuinely could not stop cringing. It just went straight downhill at the end… yikes.
It was an okay watch. Honestly, I don’t understand all the hype around the second male lead. He never showed any real interest in her, never dropped hints, and never even approached her romantically. So why are people upset about it? It was clearly always about the main lead from the beginning.
The drama was so good! But I got to say the casting for Choi Mi Ryeo was so bad!! The actress did not do justice to the character at all! The dailogues felt so forced, the laugh was so fake and bad and not to mention her unnecessary shouting throughout the drama. And let's be honest she could not deliver her lines properly. Man I cringed so hard at her scenes. I guess the writers wanted to create a strong character like Goo Ryun from Tomorrow but they fell flat on their faces with the casting!
