For such a taboo and controversial subject as this, the drama is surprisingly healing and beautiful. People, society, and relationships are complicated, messy, and risky. People find healing in different ways and means. It's important to recognize that this is a very idealized/romanticized take on the sex 'therapist' industry, which I'm sure has many unsavory characters and issues in reality.
Just excellent. Great acting, OST, directing, writing, everything. Such a fun and satisfying watch. Enough tragedy to rip your heart out at times, but plenty of beautiful, heartwarming joy to balance it out.
On episode 9th and the time paradox was almost perfect until they decided to let 2 bodies with the same soul come…
But they explained it as a loop. The older came to help the younger and "told him the same words just as he was told before". So they justify the two bodies meeting because it always was, always had been (as long as the loop was existing).
So we know that someone purposely stole Im Sol's concert ticket and dropped her phone in the first episode. But…
wait, what clues let people infer that Seon Jae is also time hopping?? sorry if its a stupid question, my mind is just getting kinda fried thinking about the timeline...
My racing thoughts: (just me trying to put together things less than half way through the series)
His love at first sight, who cares for him, gives him such comforting words, and seems to know his deep struggles before they even happen - continuously has days-weeks long periods of forgetting him, ignoring him, getting a new boyfriend one time. Even with his heartfelt confessions TWICE, she forgets/ignores the first one, and then rejects him the second one. Confusing, broken promises, outright contradictions in what she says, seemingly 2 personalities. If this continues for 15 YEARS it's no wonder he has grave mental health struggles. This story is so tragic (and so compelling to watch)!
The fact that she says she doesn't remember the circumstances surrounding her accident that led to her paralysis confirms to me it's her 30s self in the accident, and then her teenage self waking up and wishing she were dead. We know his comforting words to her through the radio show were originally given to him from HER 30s self.
I feel like the promised meeting date at the bridge in 2023 was something he was still holding on too, looking forward to, even throughout the confusion of 15 years. (I wonder what was in that time capsule?) But on that day he actually met her and she was "just a fan" again. She did not remember their love, their promise, their past, etc. That last straw was enough to push him to making his decision. The only thing that confuses me is her able to change the fire of her house, meaning she CAN change the future. Maybe fate/destiny is just really hard to change, and hopefully she can do it in the end. Can't wait to see how this plot goes!
It was a nice watch, and I'm all for kBLs diving into deeper territory like trauma, suicide, homophobia, depression, etc. The only problem is it kinda just threw it in there for shock value and then either ignored it, or went switched completely 180 from it... Like how do you go from assaulting someone and disgustingly insulting them... to being all lovey dovey and kissing? It was pretty jarring. I'm also not sure about the motivation of immediately breaking up... because a brother was the cause of the other brother's suicide? What was he trying to solve with that? If you can get over some of these things, then enjoy the eye candy of super handsome leads lol. Also, the music/OST was really nice.
What a ride it's been through this whole season... They did such a wonderful and beautiful job showing the relationship of the boys, as well as to their mixed, complicated family.
I really appreciate the production and writers who understand that the audience is smart and can understand nuance and subtle nods (and some obvious hints) throughout. Without having to dumb things down, be overtly sexual, or just in-your-face about things, they can show rather than tell in this adaptation. [yeah, I think it really was lube :0] It really makes the show more fun to watch - when you think to yourself "ah, I see what they did here hehe" or "wow that was pretty funny and creative how they showed that" in spite of their social/legal limitations and restrictions for Chinese crew and actors.
Of course it wasn't perfect, with some questionable dubbing or awkward timings of some scenes. And no one will forget the green screen "beach" scene. Hope their popularity will give them enough budget to be able to transport the cast and crew to a real beach in season 2.
I get the reason for ending season 1 on an open cliffhanger - cuz that's what many shows do to drum up excitement for the next season. But in this case, the production is really gambling on the fact that they'll be able to come back without interference. I really hope they'll be able to come back full forced and finish the story that deserves to be told, but if not, it was great while it lasted!

I know everyone wants to believe that mystery tube is implied as lube, and I get it, that would be quite racy lol. But what if it is actually implied to be lip balm - such that Wu bi uses it so that his lips are soft/moistened, has a nice scent, etc for kissing Su Yu (which kissing seems to be the major theme all throughout that episode).
It still makes sense in the context of him not wanting his Dad to know what it is for or who it was made for (kissing, or feminine brand), so to prevent embarrassment he quickly brushes it off as simply for good moisturizing. I mean, just look at the small size of the lip balm, what lube tube is realistically that size/ shape and comes out by squeezing like that? It's definitely for lips.
It would be pretty wild if Wu Bi put his and Su Yu's personal lube on his own dad's lips (ewwww...)
Im really sad but I've gotta drop this, maybe ill come back later... Nothing against the actors, they're just doing what the script and directors tell them, but the whole "freaking out about being romantic" is getting old and frustrating. It worked in s1 since they werent together, but now they're literally living together as a couple. Idk its just tiresome at this point with no real plot
