Can someone tell me how an outlet like New Hanfu had a piece out about the third season in April 2025 where they talked about specific scenes from the third season (and a line from the trailer) but it is now October 2025 and we still haven't had a trailer or any update about its release date?
Did anyone figure out how the male lead detective's wife was able to complete the puzzle even after he flushed some of the pieces down the toilet? Or was the scene a hint that he was probably imagining the moment?
they realse a drama with a cast that look relatble in look ,not freaking looks like models, and they can act ,...check…
The drama is definitely great with brilliant direction and acting, but these actors are also pretty good but I can't comment on their performances in this since there's no way to watch this yet.
I fail to understand the reason this exists. Maybe it is just genre fatigue but I found this to be a completely pointless sequel/spinoff. For all of its faults, the parent TV show was engaging at the very least, this on the other hand is just so lifeless in comparison (admittedly, it's been a couple of years since I watched it so I might take a similarly dim view of the show on a rewatch). It's just a boilerplate revenge flick with nothing to write home about. The actors are good, but everything else is executed by the numbers.

Bright Future seems to have already finished production, so I guess Kong Sheng can still be involved heavily since this is only entering the preproduction phase now.
Kong Sheng has been announced to be helming the 2023 Daylight Entertainment production Xian Wei Da Yuan starring Hu Ge. This basically confirms my fears that he won't be heavily involved with directing this series.
Such a shame that Kong Shen is only involved as Executive Director and would be leaving the director duties to Sun Molong and Liu Hongyuan. I really hope those two prove capable enough to do the series justice. Also, I read on Reddit a while back that the local media in China reported that Hu Ge, Wang Kai, and Jin Dong were all going to be back for this one and Zhao Li Ying will be the female lead. I am not familiar with Zhao Li Ying to make a comment about her casting but I am really excited to see the old gang back if the rumours are true.
Are you hallucinating? I've just finished this drama and his younger sister fell off all by herself . The desk…
I don't know why you started with such an aggressive tone, but I think you misunderstood a lot of what my comment was saying. Yes, Chao Yang didn't push his step-sister out of the window, but as is hinted by the shot where Chao Yang's classmate's father, who is a cop, finds a piece of her dress hanging near the window when the cops visit the scene for the first time and then at the end when we find CY looking out the window and hear a faint voice crying for help, we can conclude that he deliberately chose not to help her. This also explains why he repeatedly asks Yan Liang to let go of his desire to go to the police with the tape recording of Zhang Dong Sheng's crime because he knows that it will ultimately lead to questions regarding the circumstances of his step-sister's death because Pupu's DNA was found on her.
Also, Yan Liang wasn't dead the whole time. Neither was Pupu nor was Inspector Chen. That would have been quite stupid. Anyway, we don't know when YL and IC died but it was probably after the ship scene in the final episode. Pupu died when she had an asthmatic attack and the teacher didn't want to risk calling the hospital. This was something I wasn't sure about but in her video, AvenueX shows a deleted scene with the teacher that iQiyi released that confirms her death. In fact, I suggest you watch her video titled "Hidden Details in This Drama" on YouTube. She lays it out all more clearly than I have here.
I have never been so disappointed with myself as a viewer after finishing a TV show as I am now after finishing The Bad Kids. Never has there been a stronger case for the necessity of a comment section on TV and film databases as this. How could I have overlooked so many visual cues to what was actually going on with the characters? Pupu, Yan Liang, and Inspector Chen all being dead never even crossed my mind. I also completely misread the scene showing Chao Yang letting his step-sister fall to her death even when he catches sight of her hanging from the edge and crying for his help. I feel, at the very least, everyone must watch AvenueX's videos on the show on YouTube after finishing the show to do justice to the show's understated storytelling.
P.S. It's a shame about the English subtitles for the show, which leave a lot to be desired. Particularly frustrating is the fact that no translations for the on-screen text message bubbles are provided.
