I think that is the 1988 film by Xie Tieli and Zhao Yuan. It's apparently 735 minutes long.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Dream_of_Red_Mansions_(1988_film_series)
I wonder if you can help me with something else, if it isn't too much of a hassle. I found another version of the series (without subtitles), but the first episode there is only 47 minutes long (youtube.com/watch?v=XmUcy2AAj48). The link you so kindly shared has the first episode clocking in at more than an hour. Which is the original version?
Bloody hell! They ended it on another cliffhanger. I feel like drop-kicking the producers or MDL users right now. I was led to believe that this was the final season and was only necessary because they ran out of money during the production of the first season. I am pretty sure that I am going to lose my sanity waiting for the next season. How could they do this to the fanboys?!
Watching the film was such a unique experience. I never imagined films could be so charming and melancholic at the same time. I have watched the film three times already but I can just feel that I am only getting started. Also, the inaccurate description needs to be changed ASAP.
I'm not really hopeful about this. From the trailer, it seems okay at best. But then again, the original Korean is such a fantastic show regardless of that show's weak finale.
It's such a great drama but there are some things I don't understand. What was the need for the scene in the pilot of Young-yi's character where her seniors ogle at her? We never see them again and it seems so jarring with the rest of her character arc. The same goes for the girl who keeps seeking Gue-rae's attention. What happened to her? They should have deleted the trip to Jordan subplot and instead focused on tying up such loose ends. It's still a 9/10 show though.
If I have this right, Guan Hongfeng was placed at the scene of the crime after passing out due to his condition. So wasn't he framed? I don't know why he thought framing his twin brother was a good idea, but what I don't get is why did he give Zhou Xun that sinister smile after he was arrested. What was Ye going to tell Shutong about Guan Hongfeng before he was shot? And why the hell are Zhou Xun and Guan Hongfeng pointing guns at each other on the season 2 poster? Do these imply that he was evil the whole time? I hope this is not the case as Guan Hongfeng and Zhou Xun alongwith Zhou Shutong are the characters I liked the most. I don't want to see them fight each other. What do you people think?
I enjoyed watching this one. It doesn't start strongly, but by the end I was left wanting for more. I just wish that Netflix licenses the second season as well.
Edit: Apparently, this releases in 2022. WTH?
