I agree. I am so sad at all the negativity.. It hurts my heart to see people so seriously hating on the drama…
Ahhh right, right. I did read that as well about the discrepancy in rights. I couldn't remember exactly who owned the rights to what, so I didn't want to try to get into that and end up misspeaking lol.
Re Newyear, yeah I don't really know more than what's in the links. That translation certainly doesn't put him in a good light, and basically everyone is saying it's the director's fault. Not sure if he's solely to blame or if he's just taking the heat for someone else's decision, but either way it's really stupid that someone who could potentially give an amazing portrayal would be rejected merely because he's gay.

Unfortunately it seems pretty legit. :( I actually didn't know the director was gay, which made it more surprising, so I double checked to make sure I had the right drama. In doing so, I found this video which was translated by Lazy Subber. At the 0:21 mark it talks about only wanting straight men to play the roles (I guess gay men can't interpret the role as well, no matter how skilled they are *eye roll*). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=el6WuNTxBh0&feature=youtu.be. Newyear is talked about later in the video, starting at 1:31.
I wish I could find where I read about the author not liking the original cast, because I hate to make a statement without support, but I read from so many sources and I couldn't remember exactly where I saw it. Also apparently there were a lot of complaints about the acting from the first cast, so maybe that's part of why the author didn't want to continue with them, assuming the latter part is true.
Not sure if y'all have seen, but Lazy Subber posted something on her FB page. Apparently P'New has been contacted by a director from another country asking about the copyright to LBC so that they can do a remake. I'm not sure if they just want to purchase a license or the outright copyright. P'New hasn't decided yet, but a lot of fans (Thai and international) are against it. Several people commented that they're happy, but I don't know, it makes me kind of sad. I'm worried that if P'New sells the copyright, then it will make him less likely to continue the series. In the very least, I hope he only licenses it so that he still retains ownership of the series and it would be easier for him to continue if he decides to.

Ughh I can see this turning into another Love By Chance which, funnily enough, people were comparing the drama with that to the drama with 2Moons. I also don't think it's entirely the director's fault, which makes it even more unfair if he's getting the most amount of hate (though I have to be honest, I do kind of side eye him because allegedly he refused to cast Newyear in a role for Season 1 solely because Newyear was gay and he wanted straight males only, which if true is a load of crap). Aside from the drama with God's manager, I also read somewhere that the author of the book didn't like the actors from Season 1 so she/he didn't want to proceed with the same ones (not sure how accurate that is or where the person got their facts from though so it could just be speculation).
You make a really great point in comparing KlaNo with what happened to Tar. Sadly (and I'm sure you already know this), I think a lot of why one was received with love while the other was received with disgust is because the former dealt with an "OTP" who are destined to be in love (making it okay) and the latter dealt with an antagonist only trying to hurt sweet, innocent characters (making it repulsive). The acceptable one was more passive while the horrible one was aggressive and violent. But when you compare the two directly as you did above, it really shows just how skewed this way of thinking is. I read/watch a lot of yaoi and BL works, so I know that unfortunately "rape out of love" is still a disturbing plot device; hopefully it will change at some point. Anyway, long-winded, but just wanted to comment that it was really clever the way you compared the two situations! :)

I knooow. And sadly the people who are really being hateful have already closed their minds to giving the new cast/reboot a chance, so they'll continue to spew hate and leave nasty comments. Hopefully the love and support from others will help drown that out.
Wow. All of the hate these new actors are getting (mostly on the cast announcement IG pages) is appalling and disgusting! I feel so sad for the new actors, receiving so much unwarranted, hostile negativity simply for no reason. If you want to be angry at the producers and/or whoever else was involved with the cast change, then be angry at them. But don't take it out on these guys. They're actors. Of course they're going to audition for roles. You can be disappointed with the changes, and you can express this disappointment, without being rude and ugly to the people who had nothing to do with it. I hope that eventually the love and support will outweigh all of the vile hate, and I hope these guys aren't taking too much to heart. Supporting them even more now and fingers crossed that they'll deliver!
The Netflix link still does not work..anyone who has been able to view it on Netflix please help.
Maybe it's only for certain regions of Netflix? For instance, I'm in the U.S. and I know that some shows are available, for example, to Netflix users in Europe that aren't available to me. Hoping it'll come to the U.S. if that's the case.
I'm the odd one out here. Am I the only one okay with the change of actors? As long as they cast good ones of…
I'm okay with it but I'll be disappointed if their acting sucks or if they don't have good chemistry (I agree that the chemistry seemed lacking in Season 1 especially compared to other dramas). I do feel sad for the old actors who got the boot through no fault of their own (except maybe Godt/his manager), but I'm glad they have SBFIVE to keep them happy and occupied.
If I'm not mistaken they will start from zero so again !
Ahh okay that's what I heard but I wasn't sure if it was a rumor or not. That'll probably be good so that we can get used to these actors in the roles. Thanks! :)
Can't say I'm happy to see the old group of boys gone, but I'll watch and root for the new cast too! I like that they chose newer faces so that these actors gain some experience and recognition as well. Hoping the acting and chemistry between them is good and that the kiss scenes do not disappoint!
Does anyone know, is this an actual Season 2 or a remake of Season 1 but called Season 2?
Came for the Singto/BL parts but I am loving the whole thing so far! It's so good. The actors are all really charming and all of the story lines are so interesting. I also like that it has a more mature feel to it. I will be waiting impatiently for each new episode lol.
Also I checked out their Instagram page which was pretty interesting. Yim looks like he will actually be paired…
Ohhh that's interesting about Kafe and Yaimai. I hope it's true because I really want Elle to end up with Good haha. Although I'm confused about how that dual Elle/Kafe personality thing will work out (but I'm sure it will). I also want Guide to ditch the GF so it'll work out in that aspect too lol
Wanted to watch it but can't watch on Viki because of region restriction! Where can i watch it with eng or fr…
This site looks like it has all of the episodes with English subs. It does have annoying pop up ads when you click play, but otherwise it looks good. :)

Sorry for the rambles lol
It's also discussed in this forum, specifically about Newyear: https://forums.soompi.com/en/topic/400822-thai-drama-2017-two-moons/?page=13.

Edit: looks like there's a few Potter heads lol. The actor who plays Forth has some HP photos in his account.
