It’s really bad if he loses control! Like the realms will be effected
He will. See the trailer and it is in the novel when he thinks she is dead and he searched for her. He goes crazy

Ep 17. Watch episode 17 of her leaving and riding the boat to leave town. Watch her wrist.she has a lotus tattoo. It was filmed on purpose for the audience to put together…she was the lotus demon all along. We should have been routing for her…such a twist.

Title The Legend of Shen Li
The snake demon is not the reincarnated lotus demon…I suspect…the lady who he rejected..his childhood friend who taught him how to make a grasshopper and who saved his life…she had a lotus tattoo on her wrist. I am confused. .. what do you think?

The young snake girl demon in the second life is not the lotus demon. Please correct me. The childhood love who was riding on a boat had a lotus tattoo on her wrist. He gave her a grasshopper and when she was holding and it then threw it away, the lotus tattoo is revealed. Did you see that. They are not fated to be together still.

I think that is how they bring comedic relief to a tense scene and it works and is consistent with their character

Title The Legend of Shen Li Spoiler
I think they the include the happy ending plus chapter 81 - epilogue- story of Lady Jin and her wedding and how the 2 work together to help Lady Jin get her man... clues- you see the guest actor of lady Jin beau in list of actors and they have a scene of them going up to the cold mountain when he is the weak one needing her warmth to go to Lady Jin 's wedding - he lost most of his power by that time ..in the trailer...
