I think there are twin sisters separated at birth as part of revenge plot to get back at her mother who supposedly cause the death of consort Jing, the mother of Jing Ci, the ML. The ML raises the FMW and she serves as his maid growing up and falls in love with him. Her sister YQH was raised by her own mother and is very talented in the arts and has a lot of guys who likes her and is in love with a general from Another country but the maid is betrothed to this general the general Is in love actually with YQH. The male lead makes a plan to exchange them back so that YQH can be with this general and his maid/FL/FMW can go to the identity of her sister and love the life of luxury that was suppose to belong to her too. The male lead is actually the prince of Yong country but was raised by the king of another country. During the swap, misunderstandings occur and the FL thinks the ML is using her but of course he is not and the ML is severely injured and left for wolf to kill him but is save by the shadow guard / doctor of the Yong dynasty by what he thought was the FL but not really (ending ep 36 tells what really happened). The ML erases the FL memory and returns her back to her true mother and she assumes the identity of her twin sister. The FL without her former memories at her real home was assigned to marry a playboy but she does not want to so she leaves with her new maid and works as a constable. Fate brings the ML and FL back together solving cases....
The drama may have had a sad ending but the movie continuation did not. For those who aren't able to watch this…

i skim through 13 episodes without understanding a single word but the ML displays jealousy in ep 13 when he notices his younger brother spending time with the FL - kinda funny.
