Re-watch season 1 and during ep 16 when CSS was feeding LY, General Cheng told his wife that she'd never feed him food with her hands. I went back and re-watch ep 1 again and there it is, when they were first introduced (coming home), GC bought XYY her favorite pastries and she did try to feed him with her hands but, he declined her offer. Lol I thought that part was funny.
I'm curious to know how LBY is going to find out about CSS being bullied by the 3rd princess and 5th princess. Anyone who read the novel please spoil it for me!
NCY is now my new favorite character! She's such a free spirit and doesn't give a crap about what people thinks, doesn't do favoritism, and she puts ignorant people in their place.
The emperor is one of my favorite character though he seems to be more like a mother figure than father to LBY. Lol the way he keeps nagging LBY about getting married and even after he found "the one" the emperor still nagging. He even nagged CSS in ep 28 too. Lol isn't this something a mother would do. I can't help but laugh every time he starts complaining. He's a hardcore YiShang shipper. The emperess is so calm and quiet whenever the emperor nags about LBY but when he's with NCY, she always gave him the eye roll.
While waiting for the next episodes to aired, I've tried to watch Immortal Samsara but, I'm not as hooked to it as LLTG. I've watched many xianxia dramas in the past and pretty much everything is the same. LLTG is something new for me. Maybe because it doesn't involve magic or other fantasy elements. As much as I love xianxia drama, I couldn't bring myself to enjoy Immortal Samsara. (Sorry for those who are huge fans) Idk how to explain it but, LLTG though it's a slow burn romance, it has a spark to it that made it unique.
LBY's reactions in ep 24 when CSS's mother started downgrading her in front of the whole royal family was full of emotions. The way he looks at her slowly loosing her self-esteem as her mother and father continues to preach about her not qualifying to married him was so heartbreaking. Without saying anything, you can tell he's furious and sad at the same time about the way NN's mother humiliated her. And when he finally got to speak his mind out, it felt like a light shinning at the end of a tunnel. OMG!!! the way he said that he'll marry only her in his life was a strong and sincere promise. It got everyone to shut up. And finally, the way Princess Yucheng faint was hilarious. Even the emperor thought it was funny.
After watching episode 24, I've got to say, it's a roller coaster of emotions. It's understanding that CSS's mother is worried about her engaging and marrying LBY due to his family background and the fact that CSS might not fitting in due to her lack of discipline but, does she really have to go that far humiliate her own daughter like that in front of everyone. She told LBY that he hasn't met CSS for long so he doesn't know what FL is like. I'm pretty sure LBY though he never saw CSS face at the beginning, he was aware of her and acknowledged her intelligence. Thats why he went to her place at the beginning to praised her. Even if he doesn't know her for long, in my opinion, I think he knew and understand her more than her own mother. If I'm not mistaken, didn't they all met on the same day too. (Her parents returning home on the same day.) Seriously, you abandoned your daughter for 15 years and the moment you returned, instead of bonding with her, you made her life miserable. I'm really glad LBY is standing up for her. Though he could of handle the proposal little bit better but, I glad CSS agree to marry him.
-->The scene between NN and A'Yao was really touching and mature, NN changed A'Yao and helped him grow, this engagement…
I love how Noble Consort Yue dragged the emperor out of her tent. In historical dramas, I've always see noble consort or other concubines fighting each other to earn the emperor's love and favor. Lol you can tell she is so annoyed of the emperor and just want him out!
The scene where we see the prince killing LY's ex fiancee wet nurse and she and her brother were hiding below, was that supposed to be their wedding day because both were wearing red???
This is just my thoughts and opinion. The scene where the master was telling CSS, LBY, LY, and YS about him and SS's 3rd aunt (apparently it's just a story) and they were discussing it, I have a feeling that this is going to later have an impact on both LBY and CSS. I read somewhere that they were going to be separated for 5 or 6 years and later SS then got engaged to YS. LBY then came back for SS. Knowing our general, he definitely won't let anyone take SS away from him. And he won't follow their master's foot steps.
