The age gap is huge. FL parents, company, along side the production team and cast team should've known better. I don't know what was going through those ADULTS minds but they shouldn't have cast ML and FL together. I like both actor and actress. Both of their works are good and are worth watching. I just feel bad because of the poor choices that was made by the ADULTS (40-50 plus years old), ML is getting criticized and is even being labeled and call a pedophile. Like WHAT???? Why is ML getting criticized and being labeled a pedophile when the ones who should be criticized are those who are behind the cameras. They're the ones who made the decision and were the one who thought it's wonderful idea to pair a 28 years old with a 17 years old together. Yet the one who is facing all these backlashes is the ML. I'm sure that if he has a choice, he wouldn't want to work with a minor ESPECIALLY having to each other loves interest. Let's just hope that when the drama comes out, there won't be so much negativity towards the ML and FL.
Instead of "Are You the One" they should've titled it "You Are the One". CXJ his whole life is all about military, wars, protecting, and families. Yet he was never able to find love or learn to love anyone (except for his families but that's different) until he met LMT. Even though they were playing house and living with each other through lies but because of that CXJ actually learn how to care and slowly show affection towards a woman that is not family related. You can tell because he never treated his cousin (BingLan) the same as how he treated LMT. For the very first time he actually felt nervous and scared of losing LMT knowing that she is slowly regaining her memories. Then we see him chasing after her when she left which I thought was funny/cute/a little dramatic. One thing I like and truly admire about CXJ character is his growth of understanding and respecting his significant others. Ex: when he was talking to LMT's grandfather (I forgot which ep.). Her grandfather wanted her to be like any other women, to stay home and take care of the household. CXJ on the other hand praised her and started listing all of the achievements she has accomplished. Within that one year of living together he has a deep understanding of LMT, an understanding that her grandfather looked passed. Even LMT's grandfather was flabbergasted. He loved her whether she is a merchant's daughter or LW leader of the bandits, despite her background he loves them all. Same goes for LMT. She too has never shown love towards other men. ZY and her are more like colleagues never lovers. Even though she lost her memories, she gradually and slowly fallen in love with CXJ. As she regains her memories, you can tell that she too wishes that their house playing life didn't come to an end. The breakup at the waterfall was full of emotions. She was deeply hurted by CXJ's lies but was sadden to part ways with him knowing that their house playing life has come to an end. Because he is HYW, even though she loves him, their status and goals aren't the same (that's what she thinks) thats why she kept pushing him way hoping that he'll give up on her (which he doesn't of course). Later, knowing his loves, respect, and understands her despite her background and past gives her the boost to give the relation a second try. One thing i like about LMT's character is that she is a head strong independent woman. Of course she is very stubborn but that's what makes her character amazing. There are times where she'll rely on ML but if she can handle it she'll take charge. The way they both understand each other deeply is a whole new level the his and her families (not all her's)wouldn't understand. LMT is the one for CXJ and CXJ is the one for LMT. Both are perfect match made from heaven.
Omg too funny! The scene (ep. 27) where LMT and that guy who is supposed to be her cousin's soon to be husband was hilarious. He's trying to flirt with her while she straight up telling him "I'll send you to your ancestors if you keep bothering me" (she said it in a nice way but pretty much that's what she mean👁👄👁). Lu Wen kinda came out there for a second.
I'm just going say this.... ML is HANDSOME! The way he stares at FL with so much love, affections and warmth gives me goosebumps and butterflies. By that you know the actor did a really good job. The storyline is just like any other xian xia dramas but that doesn't matter. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it. I would say don't expect TOO much because this is a mini light drama.
Just finished watching Thousand Years of Love and got to say I'm hooked. Yu Xuan Chen is an excellent actor and I think he deserves more recognition. Hopefully he can get more main roles dramas. I love seeing his mini dramas and wishing to see him get more lengthy dramas.
This drama is wonderful, the only thing I find annoying is how c-dramas always have a rush ending. The beginning to middle was great but then, the ending is always rushed. I get it that the chinese entertainment has limited their episodes to 40 but, having to rush everything makes the storyline confusing. Truly love this drama, one of the best this year!
Wang Chu Ran is so beautiful in historical costumes! I'm so excited to see her take on another project as the female lead. Can't wait until they are done filming. I'm definitely putting this on my to watch list!
I don't understand all the hate towards WCR. I get it that you're supposed to accept some criticism in order to do better but, what I see is way beyond criticizing. Some went way beyond to calling her ugly and have poor acting skills. Really?????? As far as I see, she is doing fine and has improved a lot. Yes there's room for improvement, just give her some time. I see actresses who has been in the entertainment longer than her and they still do a horrible job. Even if she's dating YY, so what; why can't people just be happy for them. WCR doesn't deserve all these hate.
I don't understand the negativity towards the actresses. From what I've see, people are criticizing that Ren Min is not "pretty" enough and how Wang Chu Ran only has a pretty face but can't act (some even say that she is not pretty at all). Both Ren Min and Wang Chu Ran are wonderful actresses. They may not the best but, hey give them some time, they'll impove. This drama has been the best so far and I'm looking for to the next episodes. I'm also watching both actresses current dramas that has been airing and in my opinion, I say both are doing an excellent job. I understand everyone has their own opinion but, please don't be rude just because you don't like the way certain actresses and actors do their job. They're literally just doing their job. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and stay positive! - Happy drama!
I've been her fan ever since Oh My General and I'm so happy to see her getting more lead roles than getting supporting rolls. Ever since Oh My General, I've been looking forward to her next project and each projects she's in, her acting skills (villianess/heroine) has improved so much and I'm very impressed by her work. I don't really know the reason why she's not getting recognized but, this girl definitely deserves it and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her projects.
Question So i read somewhere that after YH died, TY searched for her for 15 years. XG and FQS's had two children. Wouldn't they be like maybe 14-15/ 12-13 years old? They look really young in the drama. I don't know if the time-line in the drama is different from the novel.
