Finally got the chance to watch this drama and currently at episode 6. This is one of those dramas that aired when i was an elementary school, dramas that you remember bit here and there but kinda forgot. Anyway, i want to write about esumi makiko or rather her character, man. I love her character in this drama, her relax personality, her smile and voice ( oh god, esumi makiko has such a captivating voice) and of course, her chemistry with takashi sorimachi's character.
Overall, at this point, it is a solid drama about friendship, love and trying to find yourself in the world. I know from the comment that this drama does not has a satisfying ending (lol), but i will continue watching it till the end.
Ok, i finally had enough of their brother's stupidity. Ep 21 is the episode where i decided this is too much stupid for me to tolerate. Gullible mom plus stupid son equal disaster. How can one single drunk man can wreck such havoc in a bar/ restaurant where there were at least 3 sober and other able bodied men there? Were they too much of a pussy to stop him? And what about the music teacher? she wants too sue him because he disrupted the music night? Is she an a american? I know maybe down the line the teacher may forgive him in exchange for that youngest daughter to sing or participate in her music class (whatever), but somehow this just don't gel with me. The tone of this asadora is all over the place.
Arghh, sorry for my rant, but i really hate the story in this particular week and overall, the brother arc. The restaurant owner is also kind of a dick too me. There's too much dick characters in this asadora for me that i can't even enjoy the storyline and rooting the heroin, i spent too much time getting mad at the stupid and dick characters. Maybe down the line there will be less dick and stupid characters, hell maybe her brother will somehow becomes less stupid but i will not torture myself to see if he does.
As i am writing this, i just realized i have nothing much to write about the heroin., all i know is she likes to eat, run and don't know what to be after she graduate. Oh, she's an excellent cook to by the way (lol). Not even one person is her family once say to her 'hey i think you can be a chef' and saves her and us like 10 episodes of self realization that she wants to be a chef. To those of you that still watch this asadora, i respect your patience. Chimudondon, ep 1-21 (dropped), overall 4/10.
Just finished ep 1, so this are my takes, first, the story is kinda intriguing and weird and i do believe it will get more weird as the story progress (lol). Second, about the shooting technique, which is the hand cam mode, it makes me feel dizzy at times but i do respect that they managed to make it looks like it was a long single take. Lastly about the acting, for me, it was okay, and for ep 1 which is only 30 minute, i can't really say much about the characters. I was hoping this drama to be like 'Dead stock', you know spooky creepy elements in it, but no, just some weird shit. But i do want to know how far down this rabbit hole of a drama will take me.
For me, this drama started to pick up traction from episode 4. The first three episodes were just ok but from episode 4 onwards (currently on episode 6) the life of these workers kinda hooked me in. on a different note, it's nice to see takashi sorimachi again.
oh god, this drama is funny as hell. These are some scenes that i can remember 1. that first tanmen scene. My god sakuma yui's dead stare expression was funny. 2. the scene where takeda rena is trying her best to button her dress all by herself, and her boyfriend said 'sonnani!?' is gem.
All and all, i really like the writing in this drama, it came naturally and not that try hard to be funny type. The actors (main and supporting) also have done an amazing job. For me the rewatch value of this drama is high. I am definitely recommending this drama.
God, i hope those two will end up together and the composer somehow will ends up with his manager (chiaki is beautiful as always) and kaya ends up being alone, lol.
Just finished the movie. It was ok.. I thought the project that they were doing was cool. You know, about those paintings. Is it the same in other adaptations? One thing that bother me the most is the audacity of those three stooges when they say akira (yamada anna) is ugly. I was like What?? You guys blind or stupid? lol
So, i'm here to whine. 1st episode in kinda ok, a bit dumb moment like why the hell the spotter didn't inform go ayano and the squad that the criminal is walking all macho outside the building?? I assume the was a spotter or sniper in that mission. Maybe i was wrong bcoz i'm no cop, maybe all of the squad in any mission don't have someone securing the perimeter. But, but i can still suspending my believe and logic. And it was ok.
Then comes episode 2, Ok, WHY SOTA FUKUSHI'S CHARACTER IS SO DUMB AS FUCK??? In ep 1, i can still understand or tolerate his antics or his uselessness but in ep 2, why the hell is he acting like a middle schooler, afraid of opening some box? I just can't.. god help me.
He is a policeman, right? and he already knew what the team is doing is illegal and yet at the beginning of the apartment sequence, he act all kinda stupid when go ayano is picking the locks. What is wrong with you??? Why sota fukushi accept this role, i will never know. That whole sequence at the apartment is crazy stupid except for go ayano.
And what's with the lady from what unit is supposedly crazy good at fighting? spend the entire time beating only one of the goons? if i was that lady, i will at least drop a kick at sota fukushi character for being existing there. but she maybe needs a day or two to really knock him out. I hate when drama has this kind of direction for the sake of adding unnecessary storyline.
I hope that this drama will improve, i will try to watch another episode, if that cop is still dumb as fuck, i think i will drop this drama.
The concept is fine and i admire them for that, it's just the stupid little things adds up and spoiling the flow of the drama.
Then i would like to suggest 'hiyokko'. Great casts, storyline and music.
ooh,it certainly has a mixed of both.. i think hiyokko is a bit funny and cute and wholesome at times. Do give it a try, and i believed you will get hooked.. and the opening song is great.
