Anybody knows if the director's cut version will be subbed as well? I know they've only added 1 minute+ for every episode, but we know them are precious minutes (^-^) Please do share the link for the director's cut version, uploaded anywhere. Thank you!! :D
Great catch! They do bear an uncanny resemblance and I agree they share a personal magnetism in acting. Kenshi…
Right! OMG! Kenshi Okada's voice! I mean his control over his voice for different scenes, for a rookie (where most unfortunately tend to over-act & stuck on one shouty volume no matter what the scene requires but we forgive them because they're pretty to look at haha) is just remarkable.
And yes I know who Marlon Brando was, I was just being facetious, a bad habit of mine. Went through my own Marlon Brandon obsession phase, which is why I easily noticed their resemblance since the first episode. So happy you see it too!
... the thing is not long after kiss they would always get separated. after the taxi and also after the ferry…
Yeah just read that. And with all those rainbows as a running easter egg throughout the drama, you sort of expect that Akira and Hijiri will (and DO!) eventually catch a break in their relationship. In one of the pictures of the final scene posted online, there is a rainbow on Akira's back. I just find that such a brilliant touch.

Yes, similar scenes but differing outcome, due to the story approaching its conclusion and the progression I mentioned above. I am sorry, but I am very determined to give the story a beautiful happy ending, even though it's just in my head. haha

Yes, but I would like to think now the story and characters have progressed (like all stories must do), for example, (1) the mom saw in that final confrontation scene with the lawyer, Hijiri's decision signifies her true and pure intention towards Akira, (2) Akira, now for all intent and purposes, is full-fledged adult male and a functioning and contributing member of the society, therefore free to do what and love whomever he pleases, and (3) thusly free Hijiri of any guilt and shame she's been carrying all this time. Falling in love with 15-year-old Akira is her sin and accepting the love of 23-year-old Akira (with all his extra hotness) is her redemption. Plus, as this is not kdrama, nobody is getting cancer or getting hit by a truck and this is not a cdrama where the ending tends to be bittersweet (honestly you only remember the bitter part, remember Fu Heng?!) In conclusion, I still have my fingers crossed!! haha P/S: Am I the only one who sees the resemblance I mentioned above? Okay then.
I'm just putting this out there: Kenshi Okada's visual, especially his side profile, it's so similar to this little known old actor from Hollywood, quite decent, some might know of him. See here--> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwZ2Cqkic1A Mute and slow the video to x0.75. And you're welcome! By the way, anybody knows anything about the director's cut of this drama? Because this drama is choked full with similar re-occuring scenes, so I still have not given up hope on a little reunion kiss-scene for the ending. Fingers crossed!
