It should be rated lower than 8.0.Such a terrible drama. And male lead should choke or put him in asylum.
The ML behavior is really over the line and still am baffled how people does not care for this kind of behavior. Dumped the show and blacklisted it might I say.

After the reveal I re-checked the rating for this show,and I was like what the hell is wrong with people who watched it and didn't even bat an eye for this kind of behavior, truly appalled.
I stopped watching this a while back, if it's not a burden somebody post whether ML is going to die or not at the end. Then I can decide whether to watch it or not.
I see you made a point, I have seen many dramas where the son's submit to their parents antics in a marriage over the wife, but in this drama MUST I SAY Dae Ryuk is nowhere near a mama boy, from the start of the drama its ML who took the initiative and loved FL all the way to the end, systematically shielding her and convincing his family for her sake.
He didn't care she was poor or even when he found out her father's past he was there on her side ready to support her all the way. But it's the FL who back's out every fucking time whenever there is a slightest trouble.
Finally the FACT is ML never gave up on FL and a relationship requires effort from both the sides where FL didn't even bother to take an ounce of initiative to stand up for her or for her love all the while backing out at every problem, instead of tackling the issue by herself or at least together with the ML by sharing her problems with ML by effectively communicating with him but no can do all she wants to do is keep it a secret.
And you were saying Do Ran deserves some one better than ML, no it's the other way around FL doesn't even deserve the love of the ML he can do much better than spineless FL, Yeah called "spineless" just because you act kind, had a troubled upbringing and do things so that some people wouldn't be hurt while deeply hurting the person who loves you earnestly is much more despicable in my opinion.
On one side I do appreciate the Japanese people for their polite behavior and hope every other country learn from them on the other side I just wish that politeness volume be turned down between the loved ones.
