I understand that the ending uses amnesia, but I do think it really fit here, unlike other dramas who just put it just for the sake of a happy ending. Here, it made the drama even memorable, sincere, beautiful and most humane of all.
I particularly loved this, "Do Hyun Soo, who lived in hiding for 14 years under the name of Baek Hee Sung, even broke down his own prejudices against himself and returned to his own life as Do Hyun Soo. Similarly, even though ‘Flower of Evil’ has ended, I hope that we will all be able to shine as we return to our own places in life." —Chief Producer of Flower of Evil.
I legit cried at the ending of last episode. i don't even care if it was a cliche ending, I'm just very happy…
I CRIED SO BAD AT THAT ENDING. T-T And, I'm still not recovering everytime I think of them. If one only thought of that amnesia trope over the whole message of the ending, one can say it's cliche and nothing new, but if we're going to talk about the purpose of that, it was actually beautiful, humane and sincere. :)
Belated happy birthday to Nam Ki Ae (Gong Mi Ja)!!! Her acting is the best and although some of you do not like her, I really loved her especially with all the trembling and anxiety ^-^
Like, YES?! The thriller part is creepy but the suspense melodrama gives me emotions that actually felt so good, even tho they made my heart ached. This is one of the dramas that I can say was really well-done, I hope that this will continue up to the end. There's no overly done scene, everything was good so far.
Joon Gi: You're a mystery to me.Chae Won: Is that your confession to me? Let's kiss. -kisses Joon Gi-this scene…
I re-watched that scene once again and the scene actually gave me the vibes of the traditional courting because of the way it was captured and the way Chae Won's character said to Joon Gi's character that she'll be good to him! The only difference is that the roles were reversed, it was the girl who vowed her love for the man. T.T
Yes...! This drama ain't deserved to be compared from Father is Strange, because it is absurd and rather irrelevant. I loved Father is Strange too, but the story and its theme are far different from this one. It is rather light and had focused more on the rom-com theme.
Meanwhile, My Golden Life is rather heavy and tackled on the social issues experienced from today's society. And while there are plot holes as it goes towards the end, the emotions I've felt from watching this drama are real. This is a golden drama with a good story, great actors and actresses, and lovely and sad OSTs.
6.9? I find this somehow ridiculous. I know many people here are this is not their cup of tea, but come on, 6.9? For me, this is quite enjoyable and the morals of the story are just way way way better than 'some' of the romcom dramas out there. Yes, I know it's a love triangle and not all people like it but it was needed to trigger the 'real' story behind the who-is-the-husband-game promotion. Then the CGIs, I know they are not good but they definitely not the worse and if we are going to only ponder on how heartwarming the drama could be, you would know that it is really a good watch!
Plus, the story is not bad, it was quirky and to my most amusement it goes beyond my expectation of the romcom cutiepatoties. It's just sad that many people are not able to see the story for the good teachings that it gives you. By the way, yes, there are some dragging scenes (funny ones), but you can skip them out. But as for me, I didn't maybe because I was fun of those quirky conversations they do.
I hope people would still try this out, this is not recommendable for people who search by the way for full blown romance. but trust me, it was way better than that. I watched this without any expectations, only to be surprise that it was quirky and was capable of giving you deep messages in the end. Honestly, episode 10 and above, I didn't feel kdrama vibes anymore as it was pondering a deeper story. Hopefully, you can experience it too. Plus the bromance, the bromance are the best and if you would finish the ending, their bromance setup would just make more sense, so much, that it can make you teary-eyed a little (if you are a crybaby like me).
i know it is a good drama that even my dad was hooked to this drama even when it was airing in the Philippines, but I didn't really watched it before and now the reviews make me badly watch it
i love barbie as the princess and the pauper so i will surely watch this after it ended (because it is inspired by prince and pauper)! maybe on the vacation coz i don't want to get so hooked

And, btw, I now stan King Lee Joon Gi. T_T

9.5/10
Seo Kang Joon pulling those two roles are just WOW!
