I think the screen writers çhose violence and did Situ Ling the character dirty in the drama hahahahaha. They woke up one day and said 'Ayyy let's do the dog blood path'. Heard he was more docile and chill in the novel.
Personally, when the ending come out (— I was at ep 23), I was devastated my guy died in his jie jie's hand ngl :))))))) so I dropped the entire drama. Love MingY and KBZ but the dog blood was too much for me to even care about their love story 😂🤞🏻Ling Ling babyboy, next life you should definitely chill hunny!

More detailed Yapping: Honestly I've done something that I thought was 'kindness' and then when i realized it was uncalled-for, I feel so embarrassed... so SL actions are kinda relatable to me, and I sympathize with him. Moreover, what is wrong with wanting to be reciprocated? There's nothing wrong with that... But I think the problem with my guy is that he needs to let things go, yes he needs boundaries, she clearly said no thank you. When the other party said no, you should let it go. Yu Cheng En's micro expressions and eye acting are amazing, (the jie jie's are killing me, as in melting my heart haha sorry for the cheesy line). I've been digging his interview and bts stuff and I always giggle seeing him and Xiao Xiao fooling around together.
