I just finished The Double and returned to rewatch this one. I had forgotten how fun the beginning was!
I've paused The Double at 30 where Viki is subbed to and decided to rewatch this. lol same on the beginning being fun and love the camaraderie between the Six sectors. Especially Ning and Shisan.

I do not trust this Wu emperor or any for that matter. They are the biggest traitors in history.
The only Emperor that I have liked in any of these dramas is Love Like the Galaxy's. He's the only one actually looking for peace and doing his best to encourage the main leads.

Yes that, or a modern day military. just somewhere I can see more of their dynamic working together. I agree with TLB assessment Wei Shuyu never really had character depth or development unlike Hao Du. AF in AJTL has so much more depth too really happy he was able to show a wider range of acting in this one.

just starting now, on eps 6 and already loving Ning and Shi Shan dynamic. was mildly surprised to see them as I just did a rewatch of The Long Ballad and much prefer their bromance moments in JTL to their animosity in TLB.
