In Chinese history two people are allowed to get married as long as they don't have the same last name, marrying someone with the same last name was considered incest. They believed that when a child is born all their dna comes from the dad and not the mum (the mum would only affect the appearance of the child), so their last name could follow only the dads, this allows them to marry relatives from their mums family as they wouldn't have the same last name as them.

In season two the main focus is on tang sans son in law (tang sans daughter is female lead but the story line isn’t in her perspective) if they decide to fit everything in 40eps you’ll notice a lot of time skips because that’s what happens quite a lot in the novel in order to fit the details

There's also a novel ending: HanYunXi and LongFeiYe went back to their kingdom and had a daughter, but the kingdom then got destroyed, The story continues onto a second novel with YunXi's daughter as the protagonist, I recommend to check it out if you can find a translated version or the manga(manhua version)

So from what is told at the start of the preview/trailer, the story teller says that HanYunXi (FL) and LongFeiYe (ML) lived a happy life (meaning they're still alive) and was rumoured being spotted in Da Yu (a "country" or "State") So away fron Tian Ning which was where they originally came from

I watched a preview of The Blossoms at Ruyi Pavilion and the start of it actually gave away the final ending of Legend of YunXi, I can attach a spoiler to add to @BubbleTea2398's explanation

yeah, but everyone in the novel dies, FB dies during a mission shortly after he gets married. MJ then finds out after and left with DYR, but DYR dies 3 days later. In the novel MJ and DYR were lovers in past lives so... MJ then dies, reason unknown. The happy ending was MJ gave birth to twins and one of them became king. Pretty sure there was an alternative ending to the novel but forgot where I saw it.

nvm I was wrong, the twins got separated cuz the twin in the cave was born weak so the dad placed him in charge of this cave to investigate stuff.

This drama is adapted from a novel, in the novel it's a happy ending. It depends on if the drama follows the novel or not.

I basically already know whats going to happen:( I'm probably not going to chase this drama until the ending comes out.
I'm already devastated to see that the twin girls are gonna like the same guy, but then found out that basically all the male characters love Hua mu jin. It's an easy to guess story line. The twins fall in love, then they fight for the same guy, one twin gets the guy the other doesn't. The one who doesn't turns bad and wants to beat her sister, she turns good again but then turned bad again for nearly the whole drama cuz she got rapped and lost her vCard. She blamed it on her sister cuz she did something. One twin will then get married to feibai. Because of jealousy the bad twin wants more power so she marries feibai's dad who agrees to help her beat her twin sister, but she'll hafta sleep with him and such. The bad twin meets feibai's long lost twin in a cave, feibai's twin finds out what happens and tries to convince her to stop. BLAH BLAH BLAH Happy ending (hopefully from what the spoiler clips on YT shows) you'll probably already know who the bad twin is:)

Well, it depends on what type of drama you like. From all the summary clips posted already there's gonna be a long term conflict between all the characters and you have to wait till the very very end for a happy ending
