Is it better than the korean version? I've been trying to finish it but it's so boring I am so disappointed. Since…
i think it is a great drama, the kdrama is based off it, i felt like they took the plot from this and made it fit for korea, there are things that they put in the korean version that made no real sense except that they were originally in this version and they retooled them for that version
because you're a low iq watcher and thus prefer eye candy rather than actual depth and maturity. Go back to watching…
it's the hair style of the time period. i agree nicky wu is very handsome with his natural hair. there is a character on falling into your smile, that i swear looks just like nicky wu, but everytime i think so and look it up, i don't think it is actually him, but he is in it so rarely, i guess it could be an uncredited role
i agree, especially cause you can't do much with that hair style that the qing dynasty forced on that era to show loyalty for qing, if you didn't have your hair like that it showed you were loyal to the ming dynasty. i hate the hairstyle, but this is one of my favorite dramas
they have his ahah moment in korea, i don't remember if they have it in the chinese. one of the big differences is the mc's child lives in the korean unlike the chinese. i think in the chinese she kind of gives up hope after her child dies especially when she realizes it is her fault, but in the korean her giving birth to the child makes her weaker and eventually causes her death
is this different enough to the Kdrama that it’s worth watching both?
definitely worth watching, this is up there with prince of lan ling as one of my all time favorite cdramas. the korean was good, but i've never actually finished it. if you can get past the qing style hair styles, it is definitely worth watching. They took some of the situations from the chinese version and made them fit the korean drama
The sister and the husband have totally platonic relationship, and the husband is not the ML, if that helps :)
very judgemental lot! especially cause nicky wu is the ml not whoever plays 8th prince, and it wasn't like in sword and the brocade she went this is my sister's husband, I must have him like her other sister who was determined to get him
I didn't watch this drama yet but you're not alone cause I don't find that idea funny either. I'll watch ep 1…
In the sword and the brocade, it is a remake of "story of minglan", except during a different dynasty. The sister is the one that forced the marriage between her husband and her sister, because she wanted someone to take care of her son after she died. Yes, they eventually fell in love, but a good part of it was her trying to find out who killed her mother. As for this, she fell in love with the 8th prince yes, but she refused to be with him because she knew his fate in history. She hoped he would give up the throne to be with her or give up on her entirely. She eventually realized he didn't love her enough to give up the throne, so she eventually fell in love with the 4th prince
