What is going on in the Philippines? 2020 is going to be Philippines starting year producing BLs! At long last! I'm so happy! Hope Korean BLs are going to follow ♥
Yey! Another series from the Pilippines! I'm liking the "gameboys" format pretty much, it's a great idea to overcome this era of quarantine we are all in! The main actors look so handsome! I'm already in love... ♥
I don't have a good feeling about the ending, it's only 2 episodes left (10 minutes each)... I swear If they don't end up together I'll take a flight to South Korea despite the coronavirus and beat the shit out of the producers!
I truly hopes the series gets a full season 2. Six episodes in and I feel they haven't really scratched the surface.…
Exactly my thoughts, like 8 episodes 11 minutes each? Like, really? I guess they must start somewhere being the first BL series in Korea, to be honest I'm actually very happy they even started airing this kind of stuff in Korea, hopefully this will be the first of a very long list of BLs much like in Thailand :D
I'll probably wait for My Engineer to end before starting watching this, the ship KingRam hasn't even sailed yet, so I'm definitely not ready to see Talay with another boy...
Let's be honest, it's crystal clear the role of Gun was supposed to be portrayed by someone else, someone with a handsome face, big muscles and lots of charisma...
But whoever the casting had in mind apparently was never to be found, so instead, for god knows what reason, they decided to cast this goofy, blobby guy with less personality than a plant and tried desperately to make us believe he was husband material throughout the 4 episodes. I'm sorry we all have eyes...
The plot is so basic it can easily be resumed as one guy hitting (in the cringiest possible way) on another guy who is being teased by his nosy friends 24/7 and seems to be constantly uncomfortable during the whole process even when they end up together... The acting is poor, there is no chemistry between the two main characters making it so hard for those who are watching to believe in their love even for a second.
Only positive note is this drama has a happy ending so If it's all you're looking for, give it a try...
Gonna say this again. What you may not like about a show- a person might totally love about it. What a person…
I totally agree! The whole reincarnation thing makes this series unique, no other BL has it, whether people like it or not, it's very unique. I personally find it fascinating and intriguing. Also what I really like about this series is the fact there's NO annoying girl/girlfriend trying to go against our couples and it feels sooooo damn good! :)
Watched the 1st ep. I think it's not too bad, I am not a big fan of Saint and I was hoping for Zee (so smoking sexy) to be paired with someone else but oh well... I've read some comments about people complaining that 10 ep. is too short, I have to agree although it really depends on the pace of the story and how it unfolds, hopefully it's going to be a lot faster than uwma.... Fingers crossed, let's wait and see! :D
Apart from the initial scene where Pharm keeps pushing away Dean (Phi Deeean!) as If he was a stranger who just broke into his apartment, I really enjoyed this ep., grandma's acting skills are really top notch, I found my self crying like a baby... Waiting for next ep. let's see which couple is going to win the "best sex scene" award! ♥
As a premise, I'm not done reading the novel yet so my opinion is highly based on the series only.
I'm really loving this drama, and although it is a little slow for my taste, I really enjoy the story and the acting is really on point. I litterally loved EVERY single episode, the cheesy/romantic moments between the couples are to die for and the dramatic scenes about In/Korn made me shed tears more than once. I smiled, cried, giggled and felt all of the emotions the actors were trying to pass through the screen.
But ep. 11 somehow felt "on its own..." not really in sync with the rest of the episodes. For the 1st time since the beginning of this show, it felt like a "filler" episode, nothing really happened story wise and I have to admit that no matter how much I love the lovey dovey of the couples, now at ep. 11 it is becoming repetitive... Pharm surreal shyness (his "Phi Dean!" was cute in ep. 1, quite annoying in ep. 11) who is borderline rejecting a now more than horny Dean (how to blame him!) who won't stop "begging" his bf for any kind of "reward"... Right...
Not to mention the scene where Team and Win kiss under the mistletoe... are they a couple already? Since when? Did we miss something? Very confusing for someone who didn't read the novel or doesn't know they will have their own book.
I am patiently waiting for the next episode(s), I really hope they won't screw everything...
Aside from that whole scene in the kitchen where Pharm was acting like Dean was doing something wrong, my heart…
I haven't read the novel yet so my judgment is only based on the TV shows... I completely agree with you, that scene was so off and unnecessary... I read some people comments who think that Dean was not acting as himself but as Korn and Pharm noticed the difference in his touch so the reason why he rejected him... It looks like in the novel sometimes Korn appears more on the surface and prevails over Dean personality...

Dean: "Pharm, my hands are dirty, feed me"
Pharm: "P'Deeeeaan!"
Dean: "Pharm, I love you"
Pharm: "P'Deeeeaan!"
Dean: "Pharm, we should move in together"
Pharm: "P'Deeeeaan!"
Dean: "Pharm, I want my reward"
Pharm: "P'Deeeeaan!"
You are welcome.
