I've really enjoyed both of the episodes. It's exactly the kind of drama I feel like watching. The chemistry of the main leads is excellent, the light-hearted moments have made me smile, and it's very accurate to how a rural village in South Korea actually is. People really are that nosy and can be blunt, and I guess a lot of people wouldn't last a day in the same situation, but dramas have that power to show us different worlds and slices of life. It's been very faithful to the webtoon and the whole atmosphere of the show has been skilfully translated.

The acting has been great across the board, from the leads to the village characters. The director stated that he had a prejudice against idols but that he was very impressed with Joy, and that he wasn't just saying that, he was really surprised by her. I've noticed that once certain people get stuck on a negative narrative they want to push about actors, they'll always hold onto it even when someone is doing a great job. I notice that respected PDs (and not only those of her own dramas), critics, and actors have repeatedly praised Joy as an actress and I have to say that speaks volume to me. The fact that people have to even search for something to complain about like Jayoung "staring too long" when Joy is accurately conveying her character from the webtoon says it all. It's one thing to just not enjoy a drama, but the way some people comment is so extreme that their underlying agenda is exposed.

I'm so glad that there are many who don't hold onto their prejudices and are willing to have an open-mind. The reaction everywhere else has been overwhelmingly positive. For those of you who are like that, you'll find this a very healing and fun drama to watch.

I actually think CYW easily looks like he's in his late twenties, especially with how he's been styled (he also looks very close to the character in the original webtoon). Anyway that's the brilliant thing about dramas, we can suspend our disbelief.
