The last we saw of Hao lan was her getting the last present of a yellow pearly ball from lubuwei. And lubuwei in a carriage to his exile place. Apparently the 2 kids weren't hers (orphans) and she was not involved with a romance with Lao ai. Why would she wanna have 2 orphans kids. So weird. Xiao Chun hid the 2 kids, general Bai saw them, decide to use cats and dead baby when he presented them to Ying zheng in a sack. So what happened to them and xiaochun? So many unanswered questions. LOL.
And Ying zheng never saw his mother again? The general Bai hid her somewhere? Or she chose to not see Ying zheng until he conquer China. So confused lol.

I always get the feeling the adult Ying zheng is crazy with his expression (maybe the acting was weird) and while he is brutal, his kid version was much wiser and spoke of wisdom (when he was bully by his grandmother etc)
