You must have misunderstood what the very meaning of BL is. Boys loving boys. This itself reflects the real world. The books and the stories in them wether they be fiction or non-fiction are authored by the very people who have experienced different things in life if not the same and applies them into these very stories thus reflects what could be and what if and what is in real life. Surely, you must have already seen I Told Sunset About You and Secret Crush on You. These are very good examples. Not to forget the “make people accept us” part. BLs are not just stories to entertain people, they also meant to teach lessons so people can understand better. Surely you must have seen Bad Buddy to its ending. The ending has a very clear message and it’s a lesson about our new generation and that the teachings of the old ways are changing.

That is quite true. It's mostly fantasy for BLs. For us though who live the lives of the very characters fans adorn in boys love, it is quite a reality and we strive our best to be accepted by everyone especially family. I am a 48 year old single father and this year marks my 10th year anniversary with my boyfriend. I am very happy that we are open to my family but struggles still exist of course. It is in our agenda to let the new generation realize that fantasy can be reality. I have experienced every struggle a teen to a straight-acting gay man could have. The coming of age, the confusion, the heartbreaks, the wanting to die, the expectation to be wed and have children and more. Truly, these are not fantasies. People go through them what BLs depict in their stories.
This is how Boys Love series' should be. Everyone is just real life normal. No weird acting lady boys being coupled with boys that are just too handsome for them. No discrimination meant in that, just pointing out what's in the real world. Boys Love Fantasy vs Boys Love Real World. If we want Boys Love to be more accepted by the general public, then it should reflect more of the real world for everyone to understand and accept us.
No other drama, Western nor Asian has engaged my emotions like "I Told Sunset About You" ever did. The acting by the main protagonist is phenomenal. Cinematography is one thing but the music in this mini movie series was used in a way it has given effect like what we have felt and heard on the Dune 2021 movie. It gave environment for your emotions.
This truly is a high quality BL series. Superb production values, great acting and excellent cinematography. Looking towards more from this director / creator of DomundiTV.
