Even tho they are trapped in a loop, everytime something different happens so we don't get bored. I was in the edge of my seat for almost every ep, specially ep8.

It starts off really serious but after EP2 it becomes so funny 😂😂watch it and you won't regret iI!

Technically yes cuz there's a 1min (imo rly fast but rly informative) flashback/summary in animation form of what happened in the previous 3 seasons. You'll get a bit confused at first but you'll understand what happened.
If you can't stand constant change of plot and actors then just watch Ultimate Note. And every now and then you can rewatch the flashback on the first ep and you'll get what happened.

Extremely weird and funny, and it gets so awkward (in a funny way) when the OC tries to get the FL attention hahahhaha

Watched this for fun and wow I was surprised by how good it was. As a long time tvb undercover/suspense drama fan, this reminded me of the good old Line Walker (2014), altho there were some minor plot holes, overall is a good drama. And the chemistry between the leads were amazing 👌👌 and their acting is expectacular.
I absolutely loved how the ladies in the show are smart and strong.
The ending was really good to me as this is not focused on romance and it could end way worse (I'm looking at you tvb writers, my heart is broken thanks to yall)

I've watched 8 eps and being a novel fan, watched every version of the drama adaptations, I have low expectations, didn't hope for a masterpiece but this version I'll say is the worst.
90% of the fault I'm putting on the horrible script. (acting I can forgive cuz usually they get relatively new actors for the franchise)
There are so many things wuxie would never say and do (Selling Qiling blood, saying: "don't worry about xiaoge" when someone offered a coat to xiaoge cuz he was wearing too little), he's being too mean and unreasonable.. Just in general very ooc, he gets slightly better past the first 2 eps, but once in a while he does something that's completely out of line imo.
Pangzi is the least problematic here, but he also has been kinda made weaker here.
Xiaoge is ooc too, he is almost a normal person here, he says full sentences, explains stuff when he was not asked to, expresses how unsure he is about stuff. Xiaoge never says too much, here he talks too much.. (well I guess for people that wishes for xiaoge to talk more would be happy, but that's totally ooc).
Anyways I'll continue watching it just too see if it will become better..
But don't let my review stop you from watching this drama. You might come to a different conclusion. Maybe you will like this version.

I'm usually really picky about dramas.. So romance is rly not my cup of tea but I watched this for Zeng Shunxi 😂 and mostly focused on his parts. Imo around ep 20 gets a bit better and it gets REALLY good after 26. I didn't skip anything after ep 26.

This is one of the rare dramas were the start is bad but the later half of the show is better. If you can make it past the first 20 eps you are good. I have to say I skipped a lot in the beginning and only watched more toward the later third of the drama as it gets really good..

Second, Shunxi is definitely not uncomfortable here, he's having lots of fun, if you watched the behind the scenes you can see how much he enjoyed taking this photoshoot.
His team was highly involved in this shoot.
Third, have you watched their interactions in the behind the scenes for the dramas? The livestreams? Have you seen how they act around each other all the time? If you did you'll know they are more than comfortable around each other.

He was actually really hostile and angry at his uncle in the novel. He got lied to and pulled into all those tomb raiding adventures and his uncle disappears all the time. Can you imagine what he goes through on a daily basis? JZ delivered his annoyance and anger really well and he is definitely not overacting. He is not as tame in the novel as we see in the previous adaptations, he Always had a temper and he is really atubborn.

They are following the novel in 90% accuracy, the novel in fact has lots of horror tones to it
