wow I've watched shows that are bad, but none that's as awful as this one! at least I got some laughs, it has its funny moments, but that does nothing for how awful the story is.

I haven't watched for long and I already hate the MC, is a stupid ass piece of utter total crap that's not worth even mentioning, the show could have done without it without making any difference.
On Noble Aspirations Mar 13, 2019
I just started and I'm getting tired already of the MC, its beyond horrid the character, I'm not speaking about his acting, but the character itself.

I'm not feeling the male lead but completely love Bi Yao. Phenomenal CGI and great OST. The ending left me in…
the Male Lead guy even for a "weak to stong - zero to hero" setting is way too awful so far (chapter 5) I feel like im watching a deformed, crippled fly enter a den full of mature dragon gods to just be plot armored so badly that he barely escapes/survives.

Your review was really good, though I really think there is a somewhat lack of objectivity when you place the two ML in the same category, although they suffered from the same tragedy together, there is no way to say "how two people develop differently" considering their talents are worlds apart from the very beginning. one is an utter total pile of trash while the other is a genius, so they are, in no plausible aspect whatsoever at the same starting point in life.

yes both were normal kids, and both survived the same ordeal together, but that's not really the "real" starting point, as considering a world of cultivation where they can become immortals, their start-line is when they were brought up to the sect, and from there the two guys are in totally different planets racing towards who'll reach first the sun, one is in mercury while the MC is in Pluto.

Person Sun Zu Jun
at first I couldn't stand this guy in Ever Night, but as the show progressed I was amazed by this guy's acting skills, although is not Holywood level, his role was played incredibly well and it actually portrayed the character in a way that, again, at first I couldn't stand but end up finding way too important to miss.

really, replying to my own comment, just to express myself and vent this frustration, just when the show was getting amazeballs, even more so than how it started to build up (which was amazeballs from the beginning), the story had to go to shit with NQ falling for Sang Sang ..... really this is indeed a complete story killer for me. I'm sad beyond words. even though I saw it coming, Chapter 48 killed this show for me, incredible, I can't bear to watch it anymore :S I feel it lost its luster.

Title Ever Night Spoiler
I really feel disappointed that it seems NQ ends up with sang2 and not with Shan2, Sang2 should have been a "little sister" figure not even close to a love interest, IMHO at least.

I know many people liked the way it's going with Sang2 as the main girl, but I really hate that idea. it's almost to the point of being a complete total story killer.

Fights Break Sphere did change almost everything, though. Characters have different personalities (the only person…
I think saying "almost everything" is a heavy overstatement, as I read both the source novel and watched the drama and there is NOT THAT MANY changes that can be considered as "changing almost everything".

Indeed the harem side of the story is gone, but the story as a whole started where it should start, and had an end that outside the odd "time difference and introduction and movement" of some plot keypoints, this novel was fairly accurate with the novel, although we can say its "loosely based" its till "entirelly -yes-be-it-loosely based in BTTH, as opposed to MU where the story has NOTHING AT ALL RELATABLE to the source material.

I was surprised when reading you writing that the screenwriter for both FBS and MU is the same. Makes me curious…
strictly speaking isnt horrible, its just a WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY than the source story, so saying "its bad" could be the wrong way to put it.

in the source story the Main Character is a corageous, almost reckless kid, in the adaptation (MU) is a lazy ass pervert and coward.

just that description can tell you that it is indeed NOT WDQK, but a parallel story stealing the same character names with a somewhat similar setting in the world, but its a whole different story.

Martial Universe, Ten Miles of Preach Blossom, Novoland Castle in the Sky, An Oriental Odyssey, Mama Fairy and…
I wish I could have unread the novel and watched the show, a friend of mine who watched the drama first, told me that he actually enjoyed it but indeed once he read the novel he became so disappointed by the drama that sometimes is not even willing to talk about it.
On Fights Break Sphere Mar 4, 2019
You know, I'm not even close to finishing the show, chapter 11, but I was already hooked by chapter 4, I can't understand how the same screenwriter, who did an amazing job in this story botched it so awful when he wrote the total piece of dung of Martial Universe.

Where this story does also have changes it still follows (so far) the novel to a certain extent, we still have a clear picture of the plot, the changes do not make this drama into a "parallel world with a whole different story, different relationships, different personalities" kind of adaptation like it did in Martial Universe.

I finished Martial Universe and was about to give up on Chinese drama adaptations for novels when a friend told me "hey before you decide to veto entirely Chinese drama adapts give a watch to Fight Breaks Sphere, you will surely enjoy it and change your mind", and I'm thankful I got to watch this, as indeed I'm enjoying it a lot, although I do find some issues with some of the actings is not to the point where I can't watch anymore (like in Martial Universe where I wanted to just hack the world if I knew how and delete that show from history and the memory of the universe).

Please understand everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I know a lot of people liked MU, and that's ok I respect that point of view.

so for those who may be reading, is there any other novel adaptation that's "at least so far up to chapter 11 of this drama" still closely follows the original work that you can recommend me to watch?

if you have read the source story for "Martial Universe" (WunDong Quian Kun) DO NOT watch the show as if you were watching an adaptation, because IT IS NOT, its a whole different story that uses the same names, world and setting but in a new different and awful story. youll be repulsed by it if you expect something different.
On Martial Universe Mar 3, 2019
I'd like to comment on the fact that this is not an adaptation but a different story in the same world and setting as WDQQ, it has the same characters, the same idea but its a whole different story. if you are able to watch it and adapt to that idea you may learn to enjoy the show for what it is and not what you expected it to be.

This is a comedy about a cowardly with "sometimes" guts immature kid that gets strong from being weak (if it ever gets there).

Keep in mind, even as a standalone story is awful.
