They are all acting like Bai Jingting stole the drama from their faves, as if the decision making and contract signing only happens overnight. He even took a month break after filming his last drama, making way for his hair to grow longer(because he cut it for his previous drama) before entering the set of FF. If the prod team doesn't badly want him, they can just find another actor available right away. They don't have to delay the filming and wait for him.

Everyone wants their fave to be Sang Yan. Many agencies pay the marketing accs on weibo to spread that their artist is the lead for this certain drama to get the attention of the drama production.

It's a common move on c-ent that's why you can usually see so many different rumored casts on dramas. Meanwhile, the FF team waited 6 months for Bai Jingting to finish filming Justifiable Defense so he could be the ml in FF.

When Chen Feiyu's name first appeared, I also think he fits the role. Never I have expected that Bai Jingting will be among the choices haha even tho his name was among the top choices of the netizens when the FF drama adaptation was first announced in 2022, because Reset was so popular that time. Bai Jingting has the ability to pick good scripts and for some reasons, it seems like the luck is always on his side. Good scripts or big production doesn't guarantee a success anyway. I mean 4 out of the 5 dramas he released in 2022-2024 are all major hits?? For that, he has my trust already. 😂

When HL casting was first announced, everyone was against them esp on Zhao Lusi, saying she's too old for the role. But everything worked out after it aired. I believe it will be the same with this one.

Zhao Lusi is already popular when HL aired and I'll tell you, this is not her most successful drama like what intl HL fans think. Internationally yes, but in China no. The reason why HL became successful is mainly because of her big fandom. As you can see most of her dramas do well in terms of data and traffic, that's common among liuliangs. Sorry to burst out your bubble but HL is not that popular among the general public in China.

You're not wrong honestly. Zhao Lusi has a bigger fandom as she has more loyal/solid fans. She's a liuliang and has more traffic than BJT. However, Bai Jingting is more known among the general public hence I can say he is more popular. People who are into c-ent know that big fandom doesn't equate to popularity.

I get why the casting took longer as the production team may have lots of factors to consider and have to be careful. Bai Jingting is the safest and greatest choice among all the rumored Sang Yan before. He's known for his good acting skills, popular among the gen public and has traffic. His latest drama did so well and broke records in the history. And it's a TV drama not a webdrama.

But the pre-rehearsal clip shows he did exactly the same as the one shown the show. He won't really go down on wdx's part. They just wanna find ways to cancel him. 💀
