I wanna recommend Rush to the dead summer too but he's the second male lead there. Only his and his girl's parts are worth watching there haha. Maybe you can try skimming through the episodes, he has such a great chemistry with Huizi and the reason why their pairing is so popular among cnetz until now.

It's already confirmed although there is still no official announcement yet. But they already started filming it since November last year. There were lots of pictures taken on the set already. They'll wrap up filming next month so I think that's the only time they would officially announce it + releasing the first stills/teaser.

Actually by any legal means he's not adopted at all. He didn't changed his name nor took the surname of Chu Yao's family. They just call him "Chuchen" infront of the mother and pretends to be her brother. That means even on the family register, they are not on the same paper. Even infront of the law, THEY ARE NOT BROTHERS AND SISTERS at all. They are not even stepsiblings. Luoshu wasn't even raised by Chuyao's family since he was a baby btw, he's a friend of chuchen. It was his choice to live with them and pretend to be Chuchen as well.

Fyi, it should really be Bai Lu and Xu Kai. But their cp fans aren't doing any well to them. Only intl fans are in favor of this cp tbh, Xu Kai and Bai Lu's fans don't like their cp and hates each other on weibo. And if they want to continue the yanxi palace hype, they would have given Xu Kai and Wu Jinyan a drama right after the Yanxi Palace ended. But they didn't. Instead, Xu Kai said to move on from Fuying (Fuheng + Yingluo) cp. So it's either Xu Kai and Bai Lu really ended in bad terms or they want to stop the cp thing now because their cp fans are getting out of hand. They probably have no choice but to replace one of them in this drama. Bai Lu has a drama with Ren Jialun, so it's not a loss for her.

Y'all should be thankful it was Wu Jinyan who replaced her and not Angelababy loloool. And Bai Lu is rumored to star on Love Your Bones Forever with Ren Jialun. Given by Ren Jialun's popularity nowadays, it's definitely not just a small project. If you really think good for Bai Lu, you wouldn't be so pressed about her nothing being on this drama.

And I swear, only intl fans likes the KaiLu cp, most of Xu Kai and Bai Lu's fans hate each other on weibo and were glad that these two aren't starring on a new drama again.

If you're trying to compare it to other costume dramas like AOL and TMOPB ofc it's not on that range because those aren't the dramas you should be comparing with this in the first place. This is not a tv series, it's a webdrama with a light story which main goal is to make people laugh. Just because they aren't on that range doesn't mean TROTAR only deserve a rating of 6 or 7. Nothing by far has made me laugh for every episode without cringing, only this. The FL is not annoying like what we usually see on wedramas, it's funny, the plot is not draggy, leads got a chemistry, leads can act. In what way TROTAR doesn't deserve the praise it got? With Ding Yuxi's nails?

This drama started so good because of the humor and strong bond within the Zhaifeng disciples (just as how it was supposed to be) and I would be one of those viewers who'll fight anyone who said that this drama wasn't good. But starting at ep 28 it started to get draggy. I really want to drop it now but i'm at ep 37 already lol just a few eps before the last episode.

Idc if the fl died at the end i'm not liking her character anyway (she and her annoying brother). They could have made her die earlier than ep 45 then this drama would have probably been saved somehow. The romance was really horrible, idk why people said Arthur and Cheng Xiao have a good chemistry, I can't find it anywhere. Even Song Yiren has a better chemistry with Arthur despite of having only 0.0001% romance on Ever Night. They should have sticked with a friendship centered drama with a bit of romance like what the writer of Nirvana in Fire 2 did with Xiao Pingjing and Lin Xi.

If you're here expecting to see something like Ever Night then i'm telling you, you're on a wrong drama. Tbh you would enjoy it more if you don't have big expectations. When I first saw the teaser photos I felt like it's the type of drama i'll try watching because of the actors but will drop it after 2 episodes lol.

I started this solely because of Arthur but I found myself getting hooked. The drama is light and funny. The costumes and cgi are bad but bearable since the pacing of the story is quite good. I feel bad for Cheng Xiao, it's her first drama but her character lacks something for the viewers to look forward to. It's like she's nonexistent here. You wouldn't even care if she doesn't appear on an episode unless you're her fan.
