The comments have really impressed me.. Alot of good comments about the drama but for me it's abit lacking. Yang…
this is a fan-fiction, not a faithful adaptation, consider the medium, this story IS NOT meant to be adapted into Live Action TV(web or any other media) Drama, so they need to change A TON of things to make this epic story into something "appealing" and also "adhering to censorship laws", so what do you end up with? a Fan Fiction.
is not a glitch, is the absurdity of the liberties taken by the adapting author, this is not an adaptation of…
it is a fan fiction, do not get me wrong here, it is a "fan fiction based on the story" with the same characters, names and plot devices, but the whole thing, is a fan-fiction, I get that to adapt such story to "live action" a lot of changes have to be made, for the medium is not ideal for fantasy of this caliber, hence why the donghua format fits better.
han li was "sold" to the sect, not "recruited", while yes he went through a entrance test, he initially was "sold off", zhang tie was also sold.
han li has a false spiritual root at the start, and his progress is entirely, as in 100% in the initial stages due to the green bottle, not special baths or infussions.
Dr. Mo never treated him like a treasure, he was always suspicious of Han Li, he never trusted him with anything of value, nor showed ANY CARE whatsoever, and never killed for him.
I don't understand why the ratings for this drama are so low, I think people don't even get past the second episode…
is not a glitch, is the absurdity of the liberties taken by the adapting author, this is not an adaptation of the original, it is a "fan fiction" that uses the same character names, and some of the relationships "at best". it is a whole different story.
let me explain what I meant (will not remove my words about "whole different story" for that would be dishonest of me).
I have read the novel, read the manhua, watched the donghua (is still on-going), I'm not just blowing up steam out of the top of my head with asumptions.
When I say it is a fan-fiction with same characters, in the same world, and relationships, is because the medium in which is adapted into -> TV Live Action Drama <- is not fit to produce the story exactly as it is, the changes to the story are "needed" for such an adaptation, and "that is" what makes it a fan-fiction, it may retain its essence, but the point is, that a lot has been modified to make the narrative "TV Ready" and to avoid censorings . . . that otherwise would have made impossible for this work to get a "Drama".
