There is a manufactured hate going on against this show, and I feel like it has nothing to do with the show itself. It’s something else, and I’m trying to figure out what it is. Also, I agree with you Can This Love Be Translated? is a train wreck of a show.

Well, you can see that the rating itself is an indicator. It’s 7.8 with just one episode, which is really bad. And then there are the comments you can see for yourself that a lot of people are talking about it negatively and not just here but everywhere: X, Reddit, you name it.

why people are hating on the show, any particular reason.

Oh, you meant “Hum Tum” as in Hindi. It took me a while to get it I was reading it with an English meaning in mind, lol.

I’m writing this little rant after trying to watch it again and quitting in frustration. It’s a decent first-time watch, but that’s about it.

It’s a time-travel show, and time travel itself is used more as a gimmick. Don’t watch it if you’re interested in the show because of the time-travel aspect you’ll be heavily disappointed. As far as the story and romance go, they’re okay, but they kind of ruined the romance for me in the second half. They keep rehashing the same story beats and inserting unnecessary separation and melodrama using time-travel shenanigans.

Also, having watched DARK, probably the best time-travel show ever made, this feels incredibly stupid by comparison. I know time travel is just a gimmick here and that the show is supposed to be more about the romance, but damn, even the romance in DARK is much better than this, and it’s not even a romance show.

I read one of the review and it said something about censorship what is that about ?

yeah i know and i think its FL's fault for stringing the guy along SML is honestly innocent. anyways you will enjoy the last 10 episode the chemistry is on fire in those.

I should clarify somethings before more people with less than two brain cells start talking about “not so friendly visitors” or “ulterior motives.” I don’t have time to watch a lot of dramas like I used to, so I only choose ones that really suit my taste. This one seemed interesting, and overall I liked the show a lot. However, as much as I enjoyed the chemistry between the leads and their romance toward the end, I equally disliked their characters at the beginning. I especially hated the FL’s dynamic with the doctor, where she keeps him as a backup. That creates an imbalance in the romance for me, while the ML is a complete simp, the FL, on the other hand, is keeping another guy on standby !!

Your response is exactly what’s wrong with people. I’m not hate watching it I actually like the show. It’s decent, especially in the second half. I just hate this type of setup where the ML is a simp and practically allergic to any woman except the FL, while the FL is casually stringing a guy along as a backup. That part really frustrated me.

Please have the decency to understand that someone can like a show while still disliking certain aspects of it. before thoughtlessly jumping in and saying "No one is forcing you to watch it."

At no point did I say I disliked the show. That’s an assumption you made based on my criticism of a single aspect.

I do agree they have amazing chemistry and the last 10 or so episodes were amazing, I just didn't like the setup of the romance and both of their charecters. i did overall like the show not the best but decent.

my problem here are with the people that are the fan of this show, they are so tunneled vision that they cannot accept any other openion apart from their own.

What's your point here, i will watch it and then complain about it, becuase that's my right .
