I'm not saying that WL won't do well bc I'm sure he'll be great as SY. But! My problem is that I absolutely LOVED Victor Ma as Sang Yan in hidden love and it will be very very difficult not to think of him while watching this. His portrayal of the role was AMAZING and that's why it will be hard to see someone else as SY. In my mind (as well as many others) it's awkward to see someone else play a character who has already been so perfectly portrayed by another. This is unfair for the fans but most importantly it's completely unfair for both actors!!! With a spin off in mind they should have chosen either VM or WL for BOTH dramas. What they're doing now is horrible for both the actors and the audience alike.
I think this drama has a special place in my heart. I usually prefer historical dramas. I didn't even know that I could like this type of slow burn and slice of life drama so much... But! OMG!!! This was a masterpiece!!! IDK if it was the chemistry of the actors, the script, the directing or all of the above but this drama is definitely one of my most favourite ones!! I will definitely be re-watching this!!! I don't think that I can move on from Sang Zhi and Duan Jiaxu. They are one sweetest couples ever! I also ADORED Sang Yan and his relationship with his sister and his friend (DJ)! Oh how I wished to see more of them. I'm not gonna lie this is one of the (very few) dramas that I wouldn't mind having 100+ episodes. It could literally be the cast in character doing everyday stuff like a reality show and I wouldn't miss an episode! Unfortunately, the story had to come to wrap up. And even though Sang Zhi's and Duan Jiaxu's story may have come to an end I'd really love to see the entire cast together in another drama as their chemistry was simply spectacular!

I literally went ahead and googled the ending (I was looking for an explanation as well lol). According to an article I read it was hinting that his character could possibly become obsessed with her. And although the fl won't easily come back to the influencer-world, that could possibly change if a very famous person wanted to collab with her (as in Junho's character would go on to become very famous in the kdrama bc of his obsession with her and then propose a collab with her). Now I'm not going to lie I'm confused as well but that's what I read.
Love him as Sang Yan in Hidden Love!! His acting is great and natural. Adored how funny his bickering was with Zhao lusi! They really looked like siblings.
The way her friend got mad and stopped talking to her like she wasn't the one who lied to get Sang Zhi to the bday party even though SZ had clearly stated she didn't want to go lol🤣
