Before the drama, I was really looking forward to their dynamic. They had potential, but after watching their…
Yeah, like tbh, it must be such a confusing place to be for Han na, and one that some of us can relate to in real life. Kangmoo does care about her, just not in the way she deserves, but it's the things he does like instinctively like move her out of harm, that still has her picking up the crumbs he leaves for her. I think he is just scared to lose something he loves powerlessly, kind of like his father, so he let her go himself, while he has control. She was kind of badass to me when she shot at him in the way beginning; like I wish I had the balls to shot at idiots too LOL

Not me, that is one paring I can live without. It's built on a hysterical one sided jilted lover trope. Their relationship…
Ahhhh, I see what you mean! Thank you for providing that perspective b/c I overlooked the dynamics of the relationships and what hey mean on a bigger scale. The direction the writer and director have taken does portray heavy power imbalances between the female and male love interests. From the main leads to the side love interests, the lens the director and writer give us viewers is a bit weird...like why are the men always have power? Especially when, in retrospect, the women in this drama are pretty strong and bad ass; it's like they've created a limit defined and solidified by their submissiveness. Your comment made me think about the last scene with Jung Han Na and Lee Kang Moo. Kang Moo almost seemed like he was DEMANDING Han Na to do what he was saying, like when he said to arrest the doctor at the airport and she was dumbfounded like.. do you not realize she's on the run here BECAUSE of you? Because she loves you while you refer to her as simply a comrade when it's most convenient...*eye roll*

The only thing that I don't get is why they had to show the president's son, as if he will have any significance…
RIGHT! but I guess they only addressed him to explain why Jung Han Na needed to spy on
him???

Does anyone else feel we've been cheated out of Jung Han Na and Lee Kang Moo 's epic love story T.T It's episode 13 and we still haven't seen much expression as to why he left her or any real elaboration as to what they used to be like.. The story telling has been leaving lots of unaddressed things out b/c of a lack of time to expand on those things without taking away from the main plot, but I feel like I've been most excited about seeing Lee Kang Moo coming to terms with his feelings and openly verbalizing them, but it looks like it might end mostly unaddressed :(

Sooho's not his biological son so I don't think he cares much about him. I think he only cares about the money…
I feel like he may have a secret plan. It was weird to me that he asked if the Deputy would kill her own son if she was in his shoes...almost like her son is actually there with Soo-ho

I hope the main leads don't end up together! Love is way better when you feel comfortable with someone, not tensioned…
I do feel like there's a chance they might not get together because it seems like what they need more than anything is a conclusion, where both of the come together about what they gone through, how they felt, and forgive each. Forcing the to get back together kind of contributes to the idea of going back into the past, no?

I really enjoyed episode 1-6 of this show, however, episode 7 & 8 kind of had me on edge. I think it's because I started realizing how centralized Choi Woong's perspective is in this drama. Although I wouldn't say Yeonsoo's character is completely villainized, a large portion of the show, guided through Woong's narration, is incredibly critical towards her. I understand she was the one to break up the relationship (verbally), but I feel the lens we are given to view her character is a misogynistic one. Yeonsoo's self-sabotage is what lead her to break-up with Woong, shattering him; but imagine what she felt..breaking up with him knowing that's not what she wanted, to witness yourself making such a decision and being powerless to your own body and mind. It's a really big concept that has been neglected and replaced with her disengagement and almost cruel responses.
Also, does anyone also feel the kiss was kind of rushed? We haven't really seen any concise indications of how Yeonsoo feels or have been given adequate time for her POV, while we do see Woong 's
