i think i get what ppl are saying maybe because "bl" is targeted towards straight women more than lgbt people.…
just just where did I say I "like" tharntype? last time I checked I said at least twice in my comment that I HATED tharntype.

just where did I say tharntype makes a "good representation" of gay people? last time I checked I said it makes a REALISTIC representation, how does that translate to "good"?

stop twisting my words however you want just to support your hypocrisy. lord.. not cool

you're not even making sense *blocked*

I agree with everything you said. now they're trying to separate their favorite BL dramas from the term "BL" by calling their fav dramas an "lgbtq+" when its no different from BL (gay romance)

its tiring listening to their hypocrisy lol

Why wouldn't lgbtq+ people not wanna watch tharntype? I hated that it was too focused on sex and had little to no plot but I hate to admit it actually DOES depicts a REAL representation of two people going from friends with benefits to boyfriends. Type wasn't homophobic, he was just confused because of sexual trauma. Their relationship was too realistic that I hated it because I like fictional stuff.

Now if you don't think friends with benefits is a thing, let me tell you this- my classmate tried to ask me to be her friends with benefits but I refused because I'm personally not interested in an open relationship type of thing. (btw I'm lesbian. oh oh but BL is only aimed at straight women so why am I here right?? should I run? What's so spooky?)

stop stop stop saying "aimed at straight women, fetishizing gay people," just stop! tired of seeing these stereotypes, feel like vomiting at my keyboard ffs

tired of hearing "BL is targeted at straight women," this got old. yes gay anime a million years ago started out being targeted at women but its 2022 and the world has become very openminded about lgbtq content so no just bc its a gay drama made in Asia doesn't mean its targeted at women only. BL is a term to describe "gay romance made in Asia."

but I agree tharntype had zero plot

what I love most about this series is that you can see that it's NOT made for fujoshis. it's NOT made to fetishize…
So if straight romance dramas have a lot of romance, cheesy pick up lines, lots of flirting, cliches, and hot scenes then its fine and not fetishizing straight people; but if gay people romance also had normal things that happens in every relationship then its fetishizing gay people? oh makes sense

Oh yeah now I remember that, it was one of the first dramas in this category that I watched and remember loving when the male lead liked the female lead to the point of thinking he's gay for her and admitting his gayness lol

Bruh what? It’s been awhile since I’ve seen it but I don’t remember him being possessive and controlling…
Just because yall see life as blue, doesn't mean I can't be colorblind. Maybe yall are right and I'm really wrong but I can't see what yall see.

"Eun Gi is trying to manipulate the situation," Yeah because if a second lead does the same thing in being possessive of the one they like the same as a male lead, then they're being a pain in the ass and manipulators, while whatever main leads do is angelic and understandable. Basically you wanna say "this isn't the character's fault, the drama itself is very cliche and the male lead is just a scapegoat for cliffhangers to work, because a male lead is a male lead and they'll always be forgiven at the end even if they butchered a whole country, and don't argue otherwise."

Okay I went overboard here but that's because the notifications of all these replies keep reminding me a shitty drama like this exists. In conclusion, I'm not in a good mood, and I'm never in a good mood. So to any new replies, save your opinions for the actual drama's main page's comments section and let me be in peace.

I just downrated the drama even more because of yall's annoying replies trying to change my mind on the reasons why I hate the character or drama in general. If you were trying to provoke me, congrats you succeed.

I started this with not much expectations because of the salty comments, but ended up loving it more than I imagined I would. I'm so glad I watched it. I haven't watched such a good BL drama in so long. This was a mini web-series but gives the satisfaction of a (mini) mild makjang drama.

I felt like it was a combination of Korean and Taiwanese mild makjang mini drama, even though it was so short, it has the feel of a drama instead of a short web-series if that makes sense. It comes with all the flavors of a normal drama except that this is just 150min long (so you could see it as a movie instead of whine that its short).

The main korean character's acting and background story + personality feels just like your typical kdrama hot & cold male lead.

Even though the main lead (Jun Cheong) speaks mostly korean while the others speak taiwanese but they hint that the others understand his korean because the other characters say blend in korean words in their chinese sentences at times and at other times they even throw in full korean sentences (even tho their korean isn't good but Lin Xun's korean is surprosingly good). Also even Jun Cheong mixes some chinese words with his korean sometimes but just a word or two every now and then.

I heard many people on other platforms criticizing this mini drama calling it unsatisfactory, too short, no plot, full of fanservice, etc.

First of all, this is a web-series and its better than most other web-series so you can't call it too short lmao. Besides, its as good as a normal drama because it has all the flavors a long drama has, this is the first mini web-series that made me treat it as a drama. Yall are being too greedy.
Second of all, how doesn't it have a plot? Really? Just because it was short doesn't mean it doesn't have a plot! It started when they had a conflict that involved both leads in and they solved it then we see the relationship and feelings slowly develop. We watch as the side couples have their own unique and different romance stories. They even managed to tell us a little about each of the main leads' background stories and we even understand how their life has been like throughout the years and even present. They even managed to include little things like one of the main lead's birthday, things they like and dislike, their personalities are consistent with theor character yet we can see them grow and improve as a person all in just 10 tiny bity episodes.
Also the last 1-2 episodes are full of fan service?? Really? If there was really fan service, do you think they'll have all those kisses scenes? If that were really done for fan service then they would just have gay-baited us and we wouldn't even see any kiss scene!! they each of the 3 couples in the drama have their own unique romance and story, even some conflict and reunite is involved just like every other drama. Just because the couples are getting together later in the drama and being lovey dovey doesn't mean its for fan service! Heck, if that was really fan service then the last 4 episodes of "Her Private Life" are also fan service!! The last 4 eps in that drama were full of the main leads kissing so much and being way over the top lovey dovey to the point I wanted to vomit blodd!! But when couples in bl dramas get to also have some lovey dovey moments too when they finally get together then that's wrong and fan service?

I was surprise that for such a short web-service, the productions budget cost was obviously high, and the filmography was as good as kdramas. That's why I always prefer Chinese/Taiwanese/Korean BL whether the romance is censored or just the drama is short, because they have actual good stories and plots unlike Thai BL series that are being done in the mass to the point the stories feel to repetitive.

If they do it hot, you argue that you want it cold. If they do it cold, you argue that they do it hot.

What more do you want??

I really didn't wanna sound so angry but y'all made me do this. Also NO there is no incest and the brothers don't fall in love with each other ffs, there are 3 brothers only and the 4th one is mistaken as the 4th brother by accident but that gets solved quickly before any romance actually happens. Don't listen to the comments and watch it, you'll get to see each of the 3 brothers have a relationship that blooms beautifully.

...that they are 'brothers' ? Hahah
No I didn't even realize the difference between Sang Tae and Gang Tae when being refereed to them. I knew the older brother as Gang Tae/Sang Tae so I guess I never cared to know the name of the male lead xD I have no idea how this happened, my attention span is bad I guess lol. I only knew the difference at the mention of Mang Tae

Not only is it slow and childish, and dogs are smarter than the human characters, Male lead starts acting like a creep when he finds out Fl is a girl and starts taking advantage of the fact she still thinks he sees her as a guy to make her sleep next to him and be touchy with her. I was starting to think this would be one of those normal lakorns but of course that can't be possible in lakorn land, they must be pervs. Dropped

I loved the drama so much that I keep thinking about the story even when I'm working ,, it took a lot of my mind…
I remember watching one scene in the drama where they mentioned that they only saw bones when they went to check for his body a year later, then when they went to check again, not even bones were left. So the original body was destroyed.
I believe his spirit was sealed somehow just like how his sword sealed itself. Since Mo Xuan sacrificed himself to summon Wu Xian back then I assume his original body was exchanged with Mo Xuan's. I'm sure it'd be explained better in the novel but I haven't read that far in yet.

Just an example: He was dead for those 16 years so basically (he's memory is paused) we can interpret it as if someone was frozen for 16 years, therefore when he was summoned back, he was in the same condition as himself from 16 years ago

Preferences are a thing and I'm not giving you restrictions here on what to watch, every individual is unique.…
I noticed by your comments here that you take everything personally and over generalize everything. All that person meant is that this drama is BL but censored and you can interpreted as otherwise if you like but don't just come up with theories. You're thinking everything too far ahead, we know that MDZS has romance but also BL. Do you even know what BL stands for? Its romance between two males (boys love). Please stop doing this, that's not cool and leaves a bad impression
